Schedule 1 has you running around making and dealing drugs in the streets of a small town, but most of the time you are doing it in plain clothes. You can rarely see your own character model while playing the game, but you probably noticed that there is a clothing store in the region. In this guide, we will show you how to get new clothes and how you are supposed to be putting them on.
How to Equip Clothes | Buy & Change Your Clothing Items
Before you can actually start equipping different clothes, you will obviously want to find some new stuff first. To do this, just head to the Thrifty Threads store near where the warehouse is. It is the building right beside the laundromat, which is a place that you are likely going to be visiting a lot in the future.
The store is open every day at 6 AM to 6 PM, so you can visit it at almost any time outside of curfew hours. There, you can buy a wide range of completely cosmetic clothes, and you can filter the options out by equipment slot.
One thing you will notice is hat everything has a plain white base color. This is because you can pick its color when you are ready to buy it. This lets you create various colorful outfits or make matching sets with your homies if you are playing in a co-op lobby.
Now, once you have purchased a bunch of clothes, each piece you bought should appear in the hot bar below. Make sure you have inventory space for this! If you have none, you might want to discard items first.
With your clothes on hand, open your phone menu and then look at the top of the screen. There, you will see an option called “Character”. Just click on that to switch over to the character menu, which will let you equip clothes.
Either drag and drop each article of clothing on the appropriate slot, or you can simply right click to have them automatically be placed in the correct spots. Once you are done, just click on the phone menu again just so you do not accidentally end up in this page when you try to use it later.
Everything should now be in order. If you are in a co-op lobby with other people, they should be able to see your new clothes immediately. If you bought a jacket, punching the air should act as proof too, as you will be able to see your sleeves in first person.
Riding a skateboard can give you a good view of your character too, as it will switch you to a 3rd person camera. Here is a guide on how to get and use a skateboard in Schedule 1 that should help you out with that.
And that is everything that you need to know in order to buy and use new clothes in the game, proving that you are not actually stuck with whatever stuff you put on your character at the creation screen.
