The Miles Apart quest in Neverness to Everness is a side mission that will have you go to various locations and complete a bunch of objectives. The main goal is to collect four different items and submit them accordingly.

It’s a rather lengthy quest, so if you’re not sure how to complete it, or even how to get started, this Miles Apart quest guide is for you.

How to Complete the Miles Apart Quest

Gold Apple Collection Hall Neverness to Everness

You can start the quest by heading to the Gold Apple Collection Hall in New Herland District, as shown in the image above.

Head inside the museum and look for Iris, the Gold Apple Collection Hall Guide. Simply head inside and turn right on the second door. When asked if you’d like to get introduced to their collection, choose Yes.

Afterward, simply exhaust her dialogue. Then, interact with the Anomaly Exhibit “Lamp” right next to Iris, and once a new window pops up, select the Miles Apart quest and click on Start Incident to get started.

Inside, talk to Tungsten, who will then give you a switch which you’ll use to progress the quest. Simply follow the quest marker until you come across a little girl playing on the swing.

Exhaust her dialogue until she runs away. Follow her until she disappears, then follow the quest marker, which will lead you to a house.

Knock on the door multiple times until you get a prompt instructing you to use the switch that Tungsten gave you earlier.

Talk to Patty and Fulfill Her Requests

Using the switch will transport you to a different timeline. Here, you’ll find a construction worker to your right. Talk to him and exhaust his dialog, then talk to Patty who is nearby.

After the conversation, you will be tasked with heading to the park alongside Patty to gather inspiration. All you need to do is approach the nearby slide, exercise equipment, rocking chair, and swing.

Once you’re done, talk to Patty who is now near the flower shop. She will tell you to pick whatever you like, but to progress the quest, you want to pick the Wild Rose which is hanging on the wall near the corner.

Return to Patty to complete the objective, after which a cutscene will start playing. Once the cutscene is over, you’ll find yourself inside Patty’s house.

Here, you’ll need to use Tungsten’s switch once more to move to a dark world. You’ll then find the little girl earlier sitting on the couch.

Talk to her and exhaust her dialogue, after which you’ll then be transported outside the house. Your next objective is to head over to the second floor, but the problem is that the door is locked this time.

Collect Certain Items Inside the House

After being transported outside of the house, use Tungsten’s switch to turn the world bright. The door should now be open. Simply go inside and head to the second floor.

Unlocked Door Neverness to Everness

You will need to collect and interact with certain items by doing timeline switches in order to progress the quest.

At this point, your objective is to submit the right items in order to advance the memory.

While on the second floor, do a timeline switch to turn the world dark. Head inside the bathroom and look for a pile of Dirty Clothes sitting on top of the washing machine.

Interact with it to obtain a key.

Cabinet Neverness to Everness

Exit the bathroom and head over to the room at the right end. Turn the world bright and look for the cabinet in the corner. Open it using the key you obtained earlier to collect The Fox and the Swing (New) item.

Next, head to the room right next to the bathroom, and turn the world dark. Look for the Damaged Teddy Bear on the left corner.

Go down to the first floor and into the living room. Here, you want to turn the world bright and interact with the Household Toolbox which is right next to the turntable.

Submit the Damaged Teddy Bear and click Confirm to obtain a Mended Teddy Bear.

While still on the first floor, turn the world dark and go to the kitchen. Go to the refrigerator and interact with the Sticky Note on the lower section to obtain the Cake recipe.

Head back to the second floor while the world is still dark, then go inside the room to the right of the hallway and collect the Paint Can lying on the floor right in the middle of the room.

After collecting the items, go outside and turn the world bright. You should find Patty in the front yard painting.

Patty Painting Neverness to Everness

She will mention something about running low on red paint. Hand over the Paint Can you obtained earlier and exhaust the dialog. You will then receive Patty’s Design Draft.

Confront Patty’s Memories

With all of the key items collected, head back to the second floor and switch into dark mode. You’ll discover a new area at the end of the hallway.

Navigate the area until you reach a room with ghostly, floating objects.

Patty's Memories Neverness to Everness

You need to interact with these floating objects and submit the correct items to progress.

In the first room with the floating bed, you need to submit The Fox and the Swing (New). After that, approach the floating teddy bear to enter a new room and submit the Mended Teddy Bear.

Next, approach the painting easel to enter another room. This time, submit the Patty’s Design Draft item. Lastly, head to the door with a cake for the final room and submit the Cake Recipe item.

Once you have finished submitting the correct items, a large frame will appear in front of you. Enter the frame to move to another room. Here, you’ll need to defeat a handful of ghostly enemies.

After defeating all enemies in the area, head to the next frame and do the same thing. Rinse and repeat a few times until you reach the room with the little girl.

Little Girl Neverness to Everness

Talk to her, and once the conversation is over, you’ll be transported to the front of the house and will receive a Burnt Hair Clip item.

Enter the house and speak to Patty (you can find her in the living room). Exhaust their dialogue, and once the conversation is over, turn the world dark to find the little girl in the same room.

The little girl is revealed to be Patty when she was still a child. Talk to her, and once it’s over, turn the world bright once more.

Head outside, look for Patty, and talk to her. After that, you’ll then get transported to the first area where you met Tungsten. Speak with Tungsten to complete the quest.

You’ll receive 400 Hunter Exp, 60 Annulith, 30,000 Beetle Coin, 15,000 Fons, 12 Senior Hunter Guide, and 12 Colorless Dye for your efforts.
