The Headless Rider is one of the many Anomaly Boss encounters in Neverness to Everness (NTE), but it requires somewhat specific conditions to spawn.
Essentially, you need to be in the right place at the right time. Or the wrong place and wrong time, depending on who you ask! Defeating them will reward you with the “Raging Flames” Arc.
In this quick guide, I’ll tell you everything you need to spawn the Headless Rider.
How and Where to Find the Headless Rider Anomaly

To start your hunt for the Headless Rider, you’ll need to go to the southern part of Bridge Crossings at night. Go along the road between Davidia Avenue and Coastal Highway Z42, as shown on the map above.
Just like with getting Eclipse to spawn, you can use the Time System feature from your in-game phone menu to change the time. Set the time to 8 PM. Weather seems to not matter, though I’d recommend Sunny as a safe bet.
Once you’re in the area, call one of your vehicles and drive it going west. You should pass the Headless Rider’s area on the map, seeing the usual Wertheimer Index fluctuation warning. NPC vehicles should also notably despawn, and the music will change.
If you notice all of the signs above, continue driving west and you should start to see the Headless Rider. Or, at least, you should spot the skid marks from their bike!
Either way, just keep following the Headless Rider as you can while going west. Go through the blue flames in the tunnel to enter an Anomaly Zone, starting the boss fight proper. It should look like the video example below.
So, there you have it! That’s all you need to do to get the Headless Rider Anomaly Boss to spawn in NTE. All that’s left for you to do is to defeat them! Frankly, they’re quite an easy fight, despite the slightly obtuse spawn conditions.
