Assassin’s Creed Shadows has a lot of quests that only give you vague clues as to what you are supposed to do next, that is unless you play in guided mode. If you are struggling to figure out how to get a kosode for the Dress for Success quest, which has a hilariously simple hint, then this guide will help you out.

How to Acquire a Kosode in the Dress for Success Quest

Once you have made it to the Dress for Success quest of Naoe’s early main story, you will be tasked with finding a kosode. As the clue explicitly states, these can be purchased at the southwestern part of Sakai. Since it is not a particularly large city, you should have no trouble finding this place.

Open up your map and hover over the city of Sakai. Using your scouts, search at the southwestern corner of the area. If you are somehow confused as to how this works, we have a guide on how you can use and recover scouts in the game. This is taught to you prior to this quest too.

Upon using your scouts, there should be a large blue search area in the southwest district. If you wish to approach it and look for the vendor yourself, then you are already done here. If you just want the exact spot, though, then check out this map image below:

Upon going there, you will find an NPC with a quest marker that you have to talk to in order to get a kosode. From here, you are given a choice between Chinese red silk or black Portuguese silk, though we will leave you to figure out what happens if you pick one over the other.

And that is pretty much all you need to know in order to complete this specific step of the Dress for Success quest. While you are here, check out our guide on who to confront during The Tea Ceremony quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, since you are going to be doing that soon after this too.

Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
