Genshin Impact: How to Unlock Altar of Mirages Domain

There are three new domains that were introduced alongside the 3.1 update of Genshin Impact. All of them are within the new desert area in the Sumeru region. One of the domains is the Altar of Mirages which you can unlock by following a certain questline.

How to Unlock Altar of Mirages Domain in Genshin Impact

In order to unlock the Altar of Mirages domain, you first need to complete the Golden Slumber questline. You can receive this quest from NPC Bonifaz who you can find in Aaru Village in the new desert area.

Upon completion, you will receive your first clearance level which you’ll need to unlock the domain.  Next, you want to head over to this location on the map:

Here, you’ll find an entrance to the ruins. Just keep going forward until you reach the first room. Turn right and look for an even smaller entrance to another room. In the second room, look for a closed entrance with a door on top of a pedestal outside.

With the first slate available, all you need to do is interact with the book. This will then cause the entrance to open. Head inside the entrance and drop down the huge hole on the floor. This will be a tall drop, so make sure to use your wings to land safely on the ground below.

You will then instantly find the entrance to the Altar of Mirages domain. Now, you just have to interact with it in order to enter.
