The “Narration Footsteps” quest is part of this year’s Summer Event for Genshin Impact and it requires you to complete all 3 Oracle Pillar’s Picture puzzles.

You’ll be shown a picture of some sort of rune, then you just need to use the pillars in the room to imitate the rune. It’s fairly simple on paper, but it can still manage to be tricky since the puzzle lets you make mistakes easily. But you’re reading our guide, Traveler, so you won’t make mistakes!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to easily solve all 3 of the Oracle Pillar’s Picture puzzles in Genshin Impact 4.8.

Shape of Valor

This will be the first Oracle Pillar’s Picture puzzle you have to complete for the “Narration Footnotes” quest in Genshin Impact 4.8. The goal is for you to use the Oracle Pillars in the room to recreate a picture using the Magic Thread between them, as we described previously. It will instantly count as solved once the picture matches.

Shape of Valor Solution

To make things easier for you, the image above shows the order in which you should activate the Oracle Pillars. Just follow along with the numbers in our pics and you’ll easily complete these puzzles in seconds!

Also remember, you can attack the clockwork key if you need to reset the puzzle!

Shape of Valor 1

Of course, we’ll also take you step by step just in case. The first pillar you should activate is the one that Kirara stands in front of.

Shape of Valor 2

Then, bring the Magic Thread to the pillar right in front of Albizzi.

Shape of Valor 3

Follow up by activating the pillar across from Boborano’s position.

Shape of Valor 4

Lastly, finish the Shape of Valor by activating the pillar closest to Boborano. You should now have completed the first of these puzzles, allowing you to proceed straight to the next one!

Shape of Wisdom

The second Oracle Pillar’s Picture puzzle is pretty much the same mechanic as the previous one, and you can see the full solution above.

Shape of Wisdom 1

Now, taking it step by step, the first pillar you should activate is the one closest to Albizzi.

Shape of Wisdom 2

Next, activate the other elevated pillar near where Albizzi is.

Shape of Wisdom 3

Go back down the stairs and activate the central pillar on the right side of the puzzle. It’ll be the opposite of the central pillar that started this puzzle, on Boborano’s side.

Shape of Wisdom 4

Lastly, bring the Magic Thread to the final pillar near the lamppost. This will complete the Shape of Wisdom and this puzzle!

Shape of Empathy

Shape of Empathy Solution

This is the final of all 3 Oracle Pillar’s Picture puzzles for the “Narration Footnotes” quest in Genshin Impact. It’s pretty simple, with the one gimmick being that part of the picture is obscured in-game. Nonetheless, you can see the solution easily in the image above!

Shape of Empathy 1

However, as usual, we’ll take you step by step through the process. First, activate the pillar that’s smack dab between where Cappet and Kirara are.

Shape of Empathy 2

Then, bring the Magic Thread to the pillar right next to Cappet’s location.

Shape of Empathy 3

Continue by interacting with the pillar near the lamppost and wooden crate.

Shape of Empathy 4

Lastly, touch the pillar in the middle of the square you’ve made with the other pillars. It’ll complete the Shape of Empathy, finishing this Oracle Pillar’s Picture puzzle and the “Narration Footnotes” quest! However, Simulanka’s Constellation Metropole still has a lot of puzzles for you to solve. For example, check out our guide on the “Message from a City Resident” puzzles!
