In Schedule 1, your goal is to build up your criminal empire to the point where you can buy different properties and have your workers produce and sell all kinds of illegal drugs on the streets. In this guide, we will show you one way to make a completely automated marijuana growing facility full of workers that will do everything for you, including harvesting and packing all of the kush.

Fully Automated Weed Factory Guide

Before we get started, just know that the game is constantly being updated, with things being nerfed, fixed, or buffed. Because of the volatile nature of this very early access game, a lot of mechanics change in significant ways, such as how many stations a worker can handle or how properties function.

Due to how quickly stuff can suddenly become more or less efficient, we will just cover the general basics of how you can automate your farm rather than giving you a specific setup to emulate.

Now, before you can start automating your weed production facility, you are going to need a lot of workers of varying types. To help with that, make sure to check out our guide on how to get and use workers in Schedule 1 if you do not already know how to do this.

The bare basics of what you will need are at least one botanist, a handler, a chemist, and maybe even a cleaner if you can afford it. With how cheap weed is and how hard it will be to sell too many of it at once, most players keep their basic weed production at a relatively small scale.

If you are expanding your operation or you just do not have enough workers in general, then just hire more depending on your current needs.

schedule 1 botanists and pots

You will need to set up a few pots with some LED lights to stimulate their growth. At the pots, assign whichever seeds you want to be planted there, and do not forget to set their destination to one of your storage shelves so that botanists will actually harvest it.

Assign your botanist/s to all of the pots, and do not forget to set the “Supplies” option to whichever shelf contains all the soil, seeds, and fertilizer if you plan on using any.

Also, remember to give them a bed and pay them so that they actually start working. As of the latest patch, you can no longer utilize beds in different properties, so forget about that cheeky strategy that we might have previously shared too unless the developer rolls it back.

Once all of your pots and storage are set up, plop down a few mixing stations and make sure to assign your chemist/s to them. Do not forget to set their destinations too. If you are making a specific mix, set the mixing stations to point to the next one in line, with the very last mixer pointed at the storage shelf for the final output.

As for the ingredients for each mixing station, you will need to manually assign a handler to move them to each mixer. To start with, have one handler moving the base weed product to the very first mixing station.

You will also need one route for every single ingredient. For example, if your first ingredient in the mix is Cuke, then you need to assign a handler to move Cuke from one shelf to the first mixing station in the line.

If you have a second ingredient in the mix, such as a donut for example, then you need to assign a new route for the handler to start moving donuts to the second mixer. You will need to do this for each mixing station to ensure a smooth operation. Hire more handlers if necessary.

Now, to start the packaging process, you will need a free handler as well. Assign one of your handlers to your packaging station and make sure that one of them is also bringing in the finished weed mix from the shelves.

Make sure that you also have a handler route set to bring in packing materials to the packaging station. For example, you need a shelf with empty jars that someone is assigned to move to the packaging station so that a handler can actually start working there.

Finally, just point the packaging station’s destination to one of your empty storage shelves. This is where the final products will go, and once you have done that, congratulations. Your weed farm should now be automated unless you messed up a few assignments or the game just bugs out, as it usually does.

If you are still pretty new, then you might want to keep your mixes incredibly simple to save money. In fact, you can even stick to just selling the very basic version of weed rather than making up your own recipes if you are completely broke.

When you are ready to start making weed mixes, consider checking out our guide on recommended low level weed mixes in Schedule 1 to start making stuff that will net you a pretty decent profit to start out with. This is something you can continue making with an automated farm if you want to sell it at a larger scale.
