If you have played the previous F1 games in the series, then you might already be familiar with the Italian race setup. As the name implies, the Italian race setup is designed to take on Italy which is one of the many race tracks in the game.

The Italian race track is actually one of the easier tracks you can drive on due to the number of long straights and corners it has. Still, it can be tricky to master this track, which is why you’ll need a setup that’s specifically designed to take this on.

That is where the Italian race setup comes in. In this guide, I’ll show you the best Italian race setup you can have in F1 22.

Best Italian Race Setup in F1 22

As with any other car setup, you have to fine-tune a handful of stuff in your car. Let’s have a look at what those are.

Aerodynamics

For the aerodynamics, you’d want to lower both the front and rear wing aero to the minimum which is zero. This is because the Italian racetrack consists of tons of long straights with just one or two corners. While you can raise both aero just a tiny bit above the minimum to maximize corner speed, there are just very few corners in this track for you to make full use of that.

Transmission

Next is your differential setup which falls under the Transmission category. This specific track will require one of the lowest setups for the on-throttle diff. The reason is because you’ll only need to accelerate from low speed at certain points around the track.

In order to avoid getting excess wheel spin when going through corners, your best bet is to lower your on-throttle diff. The ideal number is 70%. You should also do the same for your off-throttle diff but only at 55%.

Suspension

The racetrack is quite flat with just a few small curbs along the way. However, you can either save or waste a lot of precious lap time when going through the fast corners. For this, you don’t want to stiffen your suspension too much as it can cause your car to become too sensitive to curbs.

However, you won’t be encountering too many curbs in most parts of the race track,  but it still pays to have enough balance for your suspension’s stiffness. I recommend setting the front suspension to 5 and the rear to 1. Meanwhile, set the front anti-roll bar to 3 and the rear to 1.

Lastly, set the front ride height to 3 and the rear to 5.

Brakes and Tyres

There are lots of braking zones around the Italian racetrack, so you’ll want to set both your brake pressure and front brake bias to their maximum values.

For the tyres, set the pressure to 24.5 psi for both the front left and right tyres. Meanwhile, set it to 22.7 psi for both the rear tyres.
