The Gunship is one of the Heavy Fighter ships available in Everspace 2. It’s incredibly slow but makes up for it with a ridiculous amount of firepower and armor.
It’s the spaceship equivalent of a tank!
If the idea of piloting a ship that makes up for its pitiful speed with deadly firepower and impenetrable armor sounds at all appealing, this guide is for you!
Gunship Ship Class Guide for Everspace 2
The Gunships focus purely on firepower and armor, so they sacrifice maneuverability and speed.
They won’t be zooming around everywhere, but they deal insane damage and are extremely hard to take down.
It’s not for everyone, that’s for sure. However, if the idea of being a slow-moving indestructible source of death sounds like your kind of thing, the Gunship will be your favorite ship class!
The class’s Special Ability is Arsenal which doubles primary weapon damage but also doubles its energy consumption.
As a Gunship pilot, you want to make sure to have a good Energy Core and some ammo-efficient weapons.
Its Ultimate Ability is Turret which gives you an automated turret for 20 seconds. This turret has amazing precision when targeting nearby enemies and deals huge damage.
Additionally, you will have a 50% discount on hull and armor repairs! Since you will be tanking hits and barely able to evade enemy attacks, this is a very welcome perk.
Besides that, your Expertise will reduce the damage your armor takes by up to 40%. This makes you unbothered by enemy attacks!
You can also get Coil Gun and Pulse Laser turrets to further increase your impressive firepower.
In the end, the Gunship is a fantastic choice when all you want are strong armor and massive firepower. The sluggish movement is not for everyone, but it’s a powerful ship when in the right hands.
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
