Dynasty Warriors: Origins is now out for those who purchased the deluxe edition in advance, and it is entirely possible to have finished the story prior to the official release. One of the things you can do after completing the main story is to unlock various bonus stuff, such as Lu Bu’s weapon type. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps required to get it!

How to Get Lu Bu’s Weapon (Halberd)

Being able to use a halberd just like Lu Bu is actually incredibly straightforward, but to get to the point where you can do it is going to take quite a bit of time, as in many hours of effort. Basically, you need to finish the main campaign first, with no specific story choices needed.

Upon completing the whole campaign for the first time, you unlock all of the postgame content, which includes the ability to get more companions and weapons, such as the halberd we are looking for. There is no way around this requirement, so you just need to keep playing until you beat it!

Once the campaign is over, all you need to do is replay a mission where you get to fight Lu Bu. Upon defeating him, there is a chance that he drops a halberd. However, you can also purchase it from stores, albeit at a relatively high price.

That is essentially everything you need to know in order to start using halberds in this game. Just fire up any battle that lets you fight Lu Bu to potentially get one of these coveted weapons to drop. Sadly, you are still stuck playing the “nameless” wanderer, but at least you can still pretend to be Lu Bu with his weapon of choice!
