Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred has a new season revolving around the art of witchcraft, and it features a wide range of unique new features including, but not limited to, powers, gems, enemy types, and more. One of the resources you are going to encounter throughout this season are the morbid fugitive heads, and in this guide, we will be showing you how to get some.

How to Farm Fugitive Heads in Season 7

If you have gotten to the point where you need to farm fugitive heads, the first thing to keep in mind is that you must be playing on Torment difficulty. This is when headhunt events and roothold dungeons become accessible, and these activities are where you get this resource, among others.

It can drop from certain special enemies in these events or instances, and the chances of dropping increase as you go up the difficulty settings. Torment IV is the ideal difficulty if you want the highest drop rates, but you will obviously need to ensure that your character can handle it first.

Supposedly, the “best” way to get these heads is by going to headhunts whenever they are active on the map, as indicated by a teal or dark green hue on the map. Exposed Roots here have a chance of spawning a Fugitive Head boss, which can drop the resources you are looking for.

To increase your chances of finding these bosses, consider using a Draught of Whispers first before you start farming headhunts. Each chug will get you an hour’s worth of 50% bonus chance.

Various activities related to the current season have a chance of giving you a Draught of Whispers, including headhunts and tasks for the Tree of Whispers. Because of this, you are likely going to have a lot of these anyway, so you may as well use them as much as possible.

If you are struggling to find one, try following players around during a headhunt or joining parties that are farming them. This should significantly speed up the grind, especially if you are playing on higher torment difficulties.

And that is everything you need to know in order to start farming fugitive heads in the latest season of Diablo 4. While you are here, consider checking out our guide on how to unlock and craft occult gems in season 7, as you will be using a bunch of fugitive heads to make those too.
