Struggling with the brazier puzzle? We’ve got you covered!

As of writing this, you can now play the Vessel of Hatred expansion pack for Diablo IV, which features a new class and a continuation of the main storyline that initially ended with some fairly obvious sequel bait.

As you progress through the new campaign content, you will eventually run into a fairly simple puzzle during the All Good Things quest that seems to be stumping some people. This guide will help you get through it in no time!

All Good Things Quest Puzzle Solution

During the quest, you will reach a point where the way forward is blocked off, and your objective will be to ensure that every brazier is lit. This refers to the set of four braziers in the room, which will all typically be completely unlit.

The solution is really simple. Basically, lighting a brazier will also activate the adjacent ones. So, if you light your first one, three braziers will be lit. It does not matter where you start, as long as you understand that basic premise. Here is a visualization of how you can solve it:

So, to recap, assuming that all braziers are unlit:

  • Step #1 – Activate any brazier to have a set of three lit up.
  • Step #2 – Activate either of the lit braziers that is adjacent to the sole unlit one.
  • Step #3 – Activate any of the lit braziers to have a single lit one.
  • Step #4 – Activate the unlit brazier that is between the other two unlit ones.

That is all there is to this puzzle, really. In the unlikely event that you messed up somewhere and have just two sets of lit braziers in a diagonal line, the fix is quite simple as well. Again, here is another diagram to better explain how to solve that:

Basically, you just activate either of the unlit braziers in this situation. That will leave you with three unlit ones, making the final step incredibly obvious.

Just keep in mind that any time you activate any brazier, a small wave of enemies will spawn in the room. They are not that big of a threat, especially since you are likely going through this point in normal difficulty, but it is still worth noting.

Once you have all of the braziers lit up, you will get a notification that a door has been unsealed. Now, you can continue on with the rest of this quest, as you and your companions can head over to the burial chamber up ahead!

That wraps up this entire guide for the one puzzle in this quest, and by this point, you will be close to finishing the campaign and getting into the post-story grind, which is the real meat of the game. Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
