The Bishops are one of the most unique followers in Cult of the Lamb and the Unholy Alliance finally lets them start healing thanks to the new Old Wounds quests.

If you haven’t played Cult of the Lamb in a while and forgot, the Bishops of the Old Faith were some of the main antagonists of the story. As you defeated them, you were able to turn them into your own followers. Yet, they all were greatly damaged when sealing away The One Who Waits.

In this guide, we’ll help you complete the “Old Wounds” quests so that you can finally heal the Bishops from their long-lasting injuries!

Healing The Bishops, Old Wounds Quests | Cult Of The Lamb: Unholy Alliance Update

Talking to Leshy

The “Old Wounds” quests for healing the Bishops become available once you beat the final boss of Cult of the Lamb, though it still counts if you did it before the Unholy Alliance update was released. All you need to do is find the Bishops in your cult and talk to them.

Turning Kallamar into Demon

Each Bishop will ask you to turn them into a demon using the Summoning Circle so that you can take them with you on a crusade to their old temples. Remember, they each had their temple in a different region as follows:

  • Leshy – Darkwood
  • Heket – Anura
  • Kallamar – Anchordeep
  • Shamura – Silk Cradle
Kallamar's Ear unique relic

You will find various relics at the entrance of the region once you bring their respective Bishop. Most importantly, you will find the unique relic for each Bishop as follows:

  • Leshy – Eye of Leshy
  • Heket – Heket’s Throat
  • Kallamar – Kallamar’s Ear
  • Shamura – Shamura’s Skull

If you don’t want the other relics, you can ignore them. However, make absolutely sure to pick up your Bishop’s unique relic right away as you will need it later! After that, you just need to continue going through the region as usual until you reach the area’s temple.

Kallamar asks for his relic

When you reach the temple, a short scene will start. The Bishop will talk about their actions during the main part of the game and will then request that you give them their relic back. Accept their request and they will be healed permanently. On top of that, you will also get the Cleansed variant of their relic, which has a stronger effect than usual!

The One Who Waits – Old Wounds Epilogue

Old Wounds Epilogue

Once you complete the “Old Wounds” quests by healing all 4 Bishops in Cult of the Lamb: Unholy Alliance, you can talk to The One Who Waits as your follower at the cult. He will ask you to walk and talk with him, just accept his request.

Narinder's Claw unlock

A short cutscene will play where The One Who Waits will think back on the events of the main game. Ultimately, he will end up saying that your work is “adequate” and unlock the “Narinder’s Claw” relic for future crusades. This relic will instantly kill all non-boss enemies, but it has a very long charge time.

This concludes your quest to heal all of the Bishops, as well! Your followers are now healthier than ever, thanks to the Unholy Alliance update. Speaking of this update, did you know you can unlock The Goat form in single-player alongside Corrupted items?
