If you like turn-based RPG games, Chained Echoes will blow you away. Chained Echoes is set in a continent called Valandis, and you’re tasked to end the war between three kingdoms. This game offers complex gearing and skill systems, stats, quests, and excitingly dangerous dungeons. Crystal fusion is one of the game’s critical mechanics since this will highly affect your character progression. If you’re just starting your own adventure, this guide will teach you how to fuse crystals properly.
Combining Crystal Guide – Chained Echoes
Crystals can improve your party members significantly by slotting them on your Weaponand Armor to provide additional passive skills. They can be powerful and turn the tide of a battle when you build it right.
There are four types of crystals:
Status: Status Crystals provides a flat attribute bonus.
Offensive: These crystals enhance your physical and magical prowess by increasing your member’s attack power.
Defensive: These crystals can enhance your defense by increasing your defensive attributes, resistance, and status immunity.
Utility: These are situational crystals that can grant various effects.
Another thing you need to be aware of is the Crystal Rank which can be found next to its name. A crystal’s bonus attributes become more potent the higher it gets, and only Rank III-V can be put into your equipment.
Crystals come in different sizes, and it represents the number of spaces they occupy. Your primary goal is to have high-level crystals with smaller sizes. In this way, you can put more crystals in your equipment.
It’s also essential to pick the highest Purity possible when opting for your (primary) Base Crystal. Purity indicates how often you can use this specific crystal in the fusion process. When the Purity reaches zero, you can no longer fuse it anymore. So your other goal is to get base crystals with a high amount of Purity to easily achieve the highest crystal tier.
On the other hand, (secondary) Fuse Crystal is not affected by Purity. Remember, Based Crystal used for the first time cannot be used as a Fuse Crystal for the 2nd time. They are indicated with an * before the name.
In summary, as shown in the image above, you will need a Base Crystal with High Purityand high ranking crystal as your Fuse Crystal.
