You might be wondering how to change your character’s gender in the game Black Desert. Sadly, there is no way to do so. Each class has a preset gender they are locked to, such as female for the Ranger and male for the Warrior. It’s also not possible to change a character’s class either, at least currently.

What this means is that the only way to play as another gender is to pick a different class. This also means that you would have to create a new character altogether. The good news is that there are many ways to bring your new character up to speed. For example, you can buy EXP Exchange coupons from the in-game Pearl Shop. This will let you give EXP to your new character without having to grind. There are a variety of coupons like this. The bad news? These coupons are all paid items.

In the end, there is no way to change your character’s gender in Black Desert once they have already been created. By the same token, each class has a locked gender that can not be changed at all.
