Elliot can carry two weapons at once in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales and which two you pick together makes a much bigger difference than it might seem at first glance. There are seven different weapon types available, each with its own range, speed and use case.

Finding a pairing that covers your weaknesses rather than overlapping with your strengths is what separates a smooth playthrough from a frustrating one. In this guide I will go over the best weapon combo you can run and why pairing these two together works so well.

Best Weapons To Pair Together

It is not strictly necessary to have the absolute best weapons to get through The Adventures of Elliot, but having a strong combo certainly makes things smoother, especially during tougher boss fights.

For your first weapon slot I would recommend the Spear. It becomes incredibly powerful once you unlock two specific Magicite skills.

The first is Magic Spear, which grants you an extra regular attack whenever your health is higher, essentially doubling your damage output in that state. The second is Three-Headed Dragon, which splits your regular attack into three spears firing in slightly different directions at once.

This gives the attack a much wider spread, though it does reduce the damage of each individual hit as a tradeoff. Since most enemies and especially bosses are large targets, you can usually land all three spear hits at the same time, which more than makes up for the reduced damage per hit and results in significantly more total damage overall.

Paired together, Magic Spear and Three-Headed Dragon turn the Spear into one of the most powerful weapons in the entire game. For the remaining Magicite slots, focus on filling them with Critical Damage Up, Critical Rate Up, High Spirits, Attack Up, Spear Shift – Reach and Weapon Shift – Might.

"Magic Spear" and "Three-Headed Dragon" Magicite makes the Spear very powerful.

Boomerang

For your secondary weapon, the Boomerang pairs extremely well with the Spear. You can throw the Boomerang to deal a steady stream of passive damage while continuing to attack directly with your Spear. Combined together, the two weapons working at the same time results in genuinely insane amounts of total damage output.

To push the Boomerang even further, you want to invest in the following Magicite. Satellite causes the Boomerang to orbit around you for a period of time whenever you use its special attack, keeping it active and dealing damage for longer without needing to constantly rethrow it.

Charge Time Down reduces how long you have to wait before you can use the Boomerang again. Electric Boomerang gives it a chance to stun enemies on hit, which is useful for controlling fights.

Biggun increases the overall size of the Boomerang while slightly reducing its air speed, which actually works in your favor here since the goal is to keep it out on the field for as long as possible while you continue attacking with your Spear.

Long Throw extends how long the Boomerang stays airborne even further, which complements Biggun nicely. Hit Count increases the damage dealt with each successive hit, which makes the Boomerang melt through enemy health bars surprisingly fast once it gets going.

The Boomerang in action.

The Spear remains your primary damage dealer throughout this combo, but the Boomerang complements it extremely well and adds a significant amount of free damage on top without requiring much extra effort. Your first priority should always be getting the Spear itself along with the Magic Spear and Three-Headed Dragon Magicite, since that core setup is what the entire combo is built around.

That’s It

That covers the best weapon combo to run in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. Truthfully the game is not especially difficult overall and you can clear most of it running whatever weapons and playstyle you personally enjoy without ever needing to optimize anything.

That said, if you do find yourself stuck on a particular boss or struggling to push through a tough section, switching over to the Spear and Boomerang combo covered in this guide is a reliable way to get past it.
