Jacob BartonWhen you are first starting out your journey in Hero’s Adventure: Road to Passion, the prospect of acquiring money may seem pretty intimidating.
You start the game practically penniless and if you want to upgrade your equipment and status, you’re going to need to start making some money!
Best Ways To Make Guan/Money

Guan is Road to Passion’s in game currency (money) and it can be used to exchange for a number of items, pieces of equipment and consumables.
This guide will break down some of the quickest methods in the game for building up your money fast! These are all pretty simple and perfect for beginner’s.
Gather & Sell Basic Resources

The first and most simple way to make money is to start gathering up basic resources in the Nameless Village.
These can be acquired through a variety of means! Breaking down logs, mining, fishing – many more opportunities will present themselves.
After acquiring the resources, you’ll want to sell them for money! Also, you’d want to check out our guide on maxing out the skills!
Collect Silver Scraps

Another easy way to make money is to head to Daliang City and collect the various silver scraps that can be found there.
These are a highly valuable resource. Once you’ve acquired them, you’ll want to head to the nearest Pawn shop and exchange them.
Exchanging, not selling, is very important here to get the best value! They’re worth 750 Guan a piece, so make sure you’re collecting them at the first chance you get.
Gambling In Casinos

Casinos are where things start to get interesting when building your fortune. There’s an in-game trick you can pull to cheat the system here.
You’ll first want to save your game. Then, head over to the 5k Lady in the middle of the casino. Place all your money on one number, then use your MP to improve the luck and get most of the dice to land on that number.

If you are successful in this, then hooray! You should resave, rinse and repeat until the lady has run out of money.
If you fail, then simply reload and start fresh – you can’t lose!
Auctioning Legendary Wood
Legendary wood can be found in numerous locations around the game. Once you’ve gathered up enough of it, you can head to an auction and sell it off for 45 guan a piece.

Another trick is to sell the Thunderwood. This can be acquired by breaking down the tree in the Nameless Village adjacent to the well. Head to the auction and cash it in!
Thunderwood can also be acquired from these locations: Soul Destroyer Forest and Back Mountain.
Accept Escort Missions
This is another quick way to level up in the game and reel in that Guan. You’ll start off getting about 500 guan per completed mission.
They also give you fame and relationship bonuses which is great for your stats.

As you level up and start taking the harder Tiger Escort mission, you’ll start getting 1000 – 2000 Guan for each mission. This should automatically be paid by merchants to you.
Obviously, the missions will only get harder, so make sure you are levelling up gear and armor as you complete them.
Of course, there are numerous ways you can make money in the game. Another great one is through marriage, but that can only be done later in the game.
These methods however can be used pretty much from the start of the game, so are great when just starting out.

The upgrade sounds quite appealing, but is it worth shelling out the big bucks for?
Most of these are still true, however, I have experimented with the escort missions and the payout does not increase past 2000 wen. Maybe an update changed the payouts but you will receive at most 2 guan per mission and no more, so that strategy no longer works. The best strategy still seems to be selling legendary items.
