Banishers Ghosts of New Eden: How to Remove Spectral Webs

As you play through Banishers Ghosts of New Eden you will come across certain impassable spectral barriers. Switching from Red to Antea’s point of view will allow you to see the path blocked by eerie blue-green Spectral Webs.

How can you remove them? You will need a specific ability called Fusion to slice through these webs, here is how to get and use it.

How to Remove Spectral Webs

To acquire the Fusion ability, there are a couple of quests that you are going to need to complete that may take some time and is not possible very early on in the game.

The first thing you are going to need to do is head to Fort Jericho to complete the quest; Isolation. Upon getting to the fort, talk to Helen and Pennington before heading to the shelter.

Once at the shelter, you need to rest. When you wake you will speak to Helen and the Isolation quest will be automatically completed.

As you leave, the quest A Flame in the Dark will begin. This quest will take you to find the entrance to the mines where you will spend some time. Eventually, you will fight the puppeteer boss. It is not an easy fight and the boss does a lot of damage. Be careful and try to shoot down the chains around it.

Once out of the mines you will face a choice, decide Pennington’s Fate. Whatever you decide, you will then need to rest again afterward.

When you wake you will finally gain the Fusion ability!

The next quest, Love Finds a Way, will allow you to test the ability out. When you reach the spectral barrier switch control over from Red to Antea.

With Antea’s ability fused with Red’s select remove with the button which appears on the web. She will slash impressively through it, burning away that ghostly barrier.

Fusion can now be used to infuse Antea’s powers into Reds weapons both for breaking through more powerful Spectral Webs and for powerful attacks in combat.

As Fusion eases your path, this web of mystery is now untangled, and many doors (or doorways) are now open to you. Strength to you in your journey!
