Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Best Farming Method for Materials

If you want to max out your characters and Hideout in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll need to know about the best possible farming methods for materials.

Frankly, fully upgrading everything can be a bit of a grind in this game. While you do get materials from many sources, the requirements quickly outpace your earnings. Thankfully, though, it’s possible to farm for more materials fairly easily if you know what to do!

In this guide, we’ll tell you all of the best farming methods so you can quickly stock up on as many materials as you need.

Best Farming Methods for Materials | Assassin’s Creed Shadows

There are two best farming methods for materials in Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Smuggling and Contracts.

Let’s go over Smuggling first. Every enemy Camp and Castle has at least one Resource Stockpile hidden somewhere. That’s not to mention all of the smaller chests with resources that you can usually find there, as well! You can check just how many resources a given Camp or Castle has by checking it on the map and seeing its Wealth.

Manage to find the Resource Stockpile and interact with it to assign your Scouts to smuggle it. The assigned Scouts will be temporarily unavailable until the season ends. However, they’ll bring the materials to your hideout at the start of the next season.

To make this more efficient, we recommend upgrading the Stable in your Hideout. Try to get it to Level 3 as soon as possible. The Level 2 upgrade will allow you to smuggle stockpiles with 1 Scout instead of 2, which is a huge upgrade. What’s more, the Level 3 upgrade will get you 20% more materials per Resource Stockpile.

Similarly, we also recommend upgrading the Study building at the Hideout. Each upgrade will give you 1 more Scout, allowing you to Smuggle more each season.

As for Contracts, these are randomized missions that you can take on at any Kakurega, including at your own Hideout. You can do up to 3 Contracts per region every season.

Most Contracts will reward you with a large number of materials, as well as EXP and Mon. Simply make sure to complete as many Contracts as possible each season to maximize profits.
