ARK Fjordur: How to Properly Level Up and Use Fjordhawk

As one of the newest addition to ARK’s list of creatures, the Fjordhawk certainly doesn’t fall behind when it comes to shoulder pets. Players mainly use it for its utility in which it retrieves your items from your corpse in the event you die.

This is a really useful ability since retrieving your items after death can be quite a tedious task.

Of course, as with every other creature in the game, you want to level up the right stats for Fjordhawk. But how exactly do you properly level up your Fjordhawk? Let’s find that out below.

How to Properly Level Up and Use Fjordhawk in ARK Fjordur

First and foremost, Fjordhawks can get hungry pretty quickly. This means that you have to make sure there’s food in their inventory. Luckily, they have a rather high base Food stat at 1,000. As such, you don’t really need to invest any points into that stat.

Instead, what you’d want to focus on is the Health, Weight, and Movement Speed stats for obvious reasons. Health lets your Fjordhawk survive for a little longer if ever you’re caught in an unexpected situation, be it an ambush or attack from dinos or other players.

Weight is necessary so your Fjordhawk can carry as many of the items you dropped without being encumbered. Lastly, Movement Speed will directly affect the flight speed of your Fjordhawk.

For stat distribution, you’ll want to increase its Weight by at least up to 200, Health by up to 500, and the rest goes to Movement Speed.

The reason why you want to focus more on Movement Speed is because it actually affects how quickly the Fjordur can return to your spawn point along with your items.
