Iron Ore is the baseline material for most low-level crafting recipes in New World: Aeternum, so you’ll want to know the best farms for it so you can gather it in large quantities.

You can mine Iron Ore from any Iron Veins right from the start of the game. These Iron Veins are found all over the game’s world, mostly in hills and mountainsides. The best farms will be places with large clusters of Iron Veins and few players!

Well, those spots are exactly what we’re going to tell you about here. Read on and we’ll tell you all about the best Iron Ore farms and routes in the game.

Best Iron Ore Farms

Spyglass Ridge Hamlet (Cutlass Keys)

Our first Iron Ore farming spot is directly north of Spyglass Ridge Hamlet in Cutlass Keys. It’s right along the border between the Cutlass Keys and Monarch’s Bluffs regions, as you can see above.

Map base used is courtesy of New World Map.

The easiest way to do this farming route is to start from the Spyglass Ridge Hamlet settlement we mentioned and go north. Then, proceed east as you mine every Iron Ore node you see, and then do a U-turn to go west. You’ll basically circle around to the starting spot. For easy reference, we’ve drawn the route on the map above.

This is one of the best Iron Ore farms in New World: Aeternum mostly due to its simplicity. There aren’t many Iron Ore nodes, but it’s easy to reach and it’s rare to see many players in the area. It’s also close to The Cursed Mists, so you can use it as a break from Mystic Doubloons farming!

Corinth (Windsward)

Second on our list is the Iron Ore farming route near the Corinth settlement in Windsward. It’s an easy area to reach, making this one of the most popular Iron Ore farms in the game.

You start from Corinth and go south, then zigzag across the area mining every Iron Ore node as you make your way west. The bigger clusters of Iron Ore nodes are on the eastern part of the route and the southwest corner. It’s a pretty simple route!

The biggest issue with the route is its popularity, as we mentioned before. You’re very likely to encounter many players along the route, so there’s a lot of competition for the Iron Ore nodes. If you’re going to use this route, we recommend playing during the off-hours for your server.

Restless Shore and Mourningdale

This final route will take you through the Restless Shore region and into the Mourningdale region. To start, go to the “Shrine of Sisyphos” Spirit Shrine in the northern part of the Restless Shore, shown above.

From the Spirit Shrine, go north along the cliffs that lead to the Mourningdale region. Mine every Iron Ore node you see along the way as you keep making your way northeast. Keep going north once you enter the Mourningdale region and stick to the cliffs on the eastern side. The route ends just south of the nearby settlement.

This route is pretty easy and doesn’t have many players most of the time. The downside is simply that it’s not in a particularly easy spot and is relatively long for how many Iron Veins there are. It’s not the most efficient on paper, but the lack of players helps even it out!

So, there you have it, that’s our list of the best Iron Ore farms in New World: Aeternum! Now you just need to grab your Pickaxe and get to mining. Make sure to put it all this Iron Ore to good use crafting new weapons and armor!

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
