Throne & Liberty: Remove the Hall’s Spell with Clay in Nightmare Déjà Vu Quest

Throne & Liberty has a fairly short main questline that features a few unique mechanics that never really come up again in the rest of the game. This includes puzzles such as the one near the tail end of the story, which involves a blocked path in Nightmare Déjà Vu. In this guide, we will be showing you how to get past this puzzle, which has stumped so many players!

Remove the Halls Spell with Clay in Nightmare Déjà Vu Quest

At a certain point in the Nightmare Déjà Vu quest, you will be faced with a puzzle that involves various shapes of the moon with two different colors for each piece. There are two parts to this puzzle, and the placement of these pieces might be different for everyone.

Hall’s Spell – First Puzzle

First up, you just need to match both half-moon shapes. At the start of the puzzle, memorize the location of both the blue and yellow half-moon and then just interact with their respective Incantation Pillars.

Keep in mind that the Incantation Pillars will spin around after you interact with one. Make sure to keep track of where the other half is right before you activate your first pillar.

If you get it wrong, you will be stunned for a brief moment and will have to reset the puzzle from the top. When you get it right, though, a quick cutscene will play, and new Incantation Pillars will activate all around the chamber.

Hall’s Spell – Second Puzzle

Next, you will need to speak with Clay and then activate the stone at the center of the chamber. After doing so, a shape will appear above your head. For a brief moment, all of the Incantation Pillars in the room will reveal what shapes they are housing.

Your objective here will be to match every moon shape of opposing colors. For example, if you have the blue crescent moon over your head, you will need to find the yellow ¾ moon shape to form a full moon.

You just have to keep doing this until all of the pillars in the chamber have been activated and the only shape left on the glowing violet circle is the blue full moon.

One very helpful tip here is to equip a wolf form as your ground morph. As the hint in the puzzle implies, turning into a wolf will reveal the shapes on each pillar. This makes it so that you don’t need to memorize their positions for this part of the puzzle.

Brute forcing it is an acceptable way to finish this too, since you can retry the puzzle as many times as you need, and the pillars that have already been matched do not seem to come back.

When all of the shapes have been successfully matched, the blue full moon will appear above your head. You will then be instructed to insert it into the rock in the center of the chamber.

Once that is over, the room will light up and you can now proceed with the rest of the quest. This is pretty much where the quest ends too, so congratulations on making it one step closer to the end of the main story!
