In this guide, we’ll take you through every step of completing this short quest.
Sands That Make Money Exploration Codex | Throne & Liberty Guide
Go to the Moonlight Oasis to start the “Sands That Make Money” Exploration Codex quest in Throne & Liberty. It’s in the Moonlight Desert region in Stonegard, as you can see on the map above.
Once you reach the Moonlight Oasis, look for the Peddler there. Talk with him and he’ll let you in on his “get rich quick scheme”. In summary, you have to collect clusters of Moonlight Sand! Yup, the quest’s name is way more literal than anyone could’ve expected.
Before you start, make sure that you have Wind Indicator enabled. You can find it in the GameplaySettings, under Character. It will display an arrow near your character, showing the direction in which the wind blows. It should be on by default, though.
With all of that said, you now have to walk around the Moonlight Desert looking for the randomly-spawning Moonlight Sand Clusters. When you find one, stand near it and push it toward the wind’s direction.
Follow the Moonlight Sand Cluster until it reaches its full size and stops. Do be warned that it will break if it collides with any obstacles. That said, there aren’t too many obstacles out in the Moonlight Desert besides enemies.
Anyway, just walk up to the Moonlight Sand Cluster and pick it up once it reaches full size. Repeat the process one more time to get a total of 2 Moonlight Sand Clusters, then return to the Peddler in the Moonlight Oasis.
Talk with the Peddler one last time and deliver the Moonlight Sand Clusters to him. That’s the end of the “Sands That Make Money” Exploration Codex quest!

Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
