The time-limited Simulanka map has a variety of puzzles with an alpaca as the protagonist, and completing all of these puzzles is a good way to get some rewards in Genshin Impact.

Sometimes you’ll need to help an alpaca recover stolen goods, while other times you just need to help out alpacas with stiff necks. Either way, you’ll be helping out a paper alpaca and getting rewarded for it!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to complete all of the alpaca puzzles found in the Simulanka map in Genshin Impact 4.8.

Recovering the Berries

Recovering Berries | Genshin Impact: All Alpaca Simulanka Puzzles Guide

The first of the Alpaca puzzles in Simulanka we will do in Genshin Impact 4.8, you can start it in the very center of the Forest of Blessings area. We’ve marked it on the map above for you.

Berries stolen...

Reach the area and you will see a paper alpaca and some hamsters in front of a chest. It seems that the alpaca’s berries were stolen by some Hilichurls and the hamsters wish to help! That said, these little rodents aren’t particularly strong fighters. Good thing a kind and strong Traveler is there to help, right?

Hilichurls!

All you have to do for this puzzle is to walk alongside the hamsters. Be patient, as they can be somewhat slow due to their tiny legs…

Every now and then, the hamsters will be stopped by Hilichurls spawning. Take them out by whatever means you see fit, then continue escorting the hamsters toward their goal.

Cave with Hilichurls

The hamsters will eventually lead you to a cave, but they still stop outside as they’re scared of all the enemies. No big deal for you, though! Jump into the cave and wipe out all of the Hilichurls that are squatting inside.

Once you defeat the enemies, grab all of the Bulle Fruits and Berries on the altar. Also grab the chest there as well, of course!

Comfort the victim

Then, return to the poor alpaca and give her the stolen goods. You’ll get her thanks and a Precious Chest as your reward.

Musical Berries

For this puzzle, you just have to head a bit southwest from the Kingdom of Breezes and Bells in the Forest of Blessings.

Musical Berries

Once you get to the marked spot, you will find an alpaca and some hamsters playing a game. They’re apparently playing a variation of musical chairs, except with berries. Ask them to join in to start the puzzle minigame!

Go!

To win the minigame, you have to wait around and pay attention to what the alpaca says. Once the alpaca says “Go!” you have to quickly interact with the berries on the table to grab one. There aren’t enough for everyone, so someone will be left out… make sure that isn’t you!

Bullet Fruits and Berries

You’ll get one chest after your first win. To get the other chest, talk to the alpaca again to play another round of musical berries. This time, there will be Bulle Fruits on the table as well but you’ll only win if you pick up a Berry. Pay close attention to the text prompts when it’s time to grab berries!

Besides that, it’s the same as the first round. Just wait for the alpaca’s “Go!” signal to pick up one of the berries and win the minigame, then claim your rewards from the chest!

Poet on High

Poet on High location | Genshin Impact: All Alpaca Simulanka Puzzles Guide

This will be the first of our “Move That Neck” Alpaca puzzles in Genshin Impact 4.8. You can start it at the top of a mountain in the central-western part of the Forest of Blessings in Simulanka.

Poet on High

Once you climb to the top, you will find an alpaca known as the “Poet on High”. Its neck is stiff and it requires your help to start moving it in certain directions!

Poet on High first landmark

First, it will say that it needs to nod in acknowledgment to the Rainsong Pond. Grab the Magic Thread on the alpaca’s tail and move to the side until the alpaca faces toward the southeast, like in the image above.

Poet on High second landmark

Then, it will need to nod in acknowledgment to The Kingdom of Breezes and Bells. Just like before, use the Magic Thread to rotate the alpaca. This time, help it face toward the north part of the Forest of Blessings, like in the image above. Use the large trees with purple leaves as a landmark.

Poet on High third landmark

Lastly, you need to help the alpaca nod in acknowledgment to the Constellation Metropole. Rotate the alpaca like before until it faces toward the northwest. You should be able to recognize the Constellation Metropole from afar, as it looks like a large castle. That said, the alpaca is pretty lenient with what counts for this.

After that last one, the alpaca will be satisfied and will give you a Precious Chest as your reward.

Speaking of chests, it’s a good idea to hunt down all of the Luxurious Chests in the Forest of Blessings as well. Get them while you can, since Simulanka is only available during the Summer event this year!

Citrus the Alpaca

Citrus and Grandpa Almond location | Genshin Impact: All Alpaca Simulanka Puzzles Guide

This puzzle can be started in the location above as part of the “The Story Begins in a Forest Without Rain” main quest.

Citrus and Grandpa Almond

Approach there to see a paper alpaca named Citrus talking with Forest Elder Almond, a hamster. Apparently, Citrus isn’t feeling too good and is unable to help Almond with reopening the Calligraphy Tavern. Thankfully, you’re here to help!

To help this pair of forest dwellers, you have to get behind Citrus and pull her tail. While grabbing it, move to the left and right to make her rotate in place. Move toward and away from Citrus to make her lower or raise her neck, respectively.

Citrus minigame objective

Your goal here is to move Citrus so that her head is directly in front of any hamsters holding fruit. Citrus will grab the fruit with her mouth when you position her properly.

While Citrus is holding the fruit, rotate her toward the barrel with a siphon on the right. She’ll drop the fruit into the siphon, and then a new set of hamsters will appear!

Citrus and Grandpa Almond completed

Repeat the process a couple of times and you’ll complete the puzzle. Make sure to open up the chest and claim your rewards before you proceed to the next objective!

Picking the Bulle Fruit

Picking the Bulle Fruit location | Genshin Impact: All Alpaca Simulanka Puzzles Guide

The last of all the “Move That Neck” Alpaca puzzles that are currently available in Genshin Impact 4.8. You can start it by visiting a cave in the northwestern part of the Forest of Blessings in Simulanka, which is marked above.

Picking the Bulle Fruit location

This works pretty much the same as when you were helping Citrus the Alpaca before, but with one catch: you should only pick the Bulle Fruits.

Picking the Bulle Fruit example

Bulle Fruits, as you can see in the image above, are large orange fruits with a green stem. They look somewhat like smaller pumpkins, if we were to compare them to real-life plants. Make sure to move the alpaca so that it only grabs these fruits, ignoring the smaller yellow berries!

Picking the Bulle Fruit puzzle

Other than that, this is the same as with Citrus before. Just grab the Bulle Fruits and drop them into the crate with a siphon until the alpaca and hamsters are satisfied. You’ll get a Precious Chest as your reward for this puzzle.

So, there you have it, that’s all of the paper alpaca puzzles currently available in the Simulanka map for Genshin Impact 4.8!
