How to Craft Heirlooms in Dungeonborne

Aside from looting the dungeons, Dungeonborne also lets you craft your own powerful gear known as Heirlooms.

Heirlooms let you somewhat customize your equipment more easily than just relying on looting. You can even use Enchantments on them to select which “perks” you get from your gear!

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Heirlooms and how to craft them.

How to Craft Heirlooms | Dungeonborne Crafting Guide

You can craft Heirlooms anytime you’re at the Camp between dungeon runs. You just need to click on the “Heirloom” tab on the top left side of the screen!

This will let you visit the Forge Master’s smithy, where you can start making as many Heirlooms as you want… provided you have the materials, that is! Here’s a breakdown of all materials:

• Rough White Iron – The most common of the metals, it’s used when making Common rarity Heirlooms.
• Ilmenite Ore – Used when crafting Uncommon rarity Heirlooms.
• Refined Steel Ore – Used to craft Magic rarity Heirlooms.
• Star Fragment – Metal used for Epic rarity Heirlooms.

You can see how many of each ore you need in the bottom left corner of the screen. Each Heirloom has different material costs, and you can pick which of the eligible metals to use. You can’t mix and match multiple types of metals at once, though!

To get these metals, however, you’ll need to Dismantle the gear you already have. Sure, you might be able to buy them from the Merchant at Camp as well, but dismantling is the most efficient and consistent way to get them.

To dismantle your gear and get metals, simply click on the orange hammer icon in the smithy interface and select which piece of gear you wish to dismantle from your inventory. The game will let you know how many resources you’ll get from dismantling before you commit to it.

Craft a Heirloom once to unlock it. You can then craft it using Mithril Tokens or materials matching the Heirlooms’ rarity. You can get Mithril Tokens from the Merchant and by completing quests. That said, we recommend only spending Mithril Tokens on Epic and Legendary Heirlooms if you want to be cost-efficient!

How to Unlock Legendary Heirlooms

Every category of Heirloom currently has one Legendary Heirloom you can unlock. Crafting them works a bit differently than standard Heirlooms, however. You’ll need to get the Fragment for each individual Legendary Heirloom to unlock them first! Here’s a quick rundown of how to get all of them:

• Moon Pendant (Accessory) – Go to the Training Room when there’s a full moon at Camp. You should find an opening where the moon is visible, which will let you pray to it and obtain the fragment.
• Divine Crown (Helmet) – For this one you will need to go to the Sinner’s End map and look for a hand-shaped shrine. The trick is, the shrine’s spawn is completely randomized! Some players report the best luck in the top middle part of the map, however. Either way, interact with the shrine to get the Fragment and then extract with it.
• The Divine Sword (Weapon) – You can only obtain this one once you already have the Moon Pendant and Divine Crown. Equip both and go to the bottom middle part of Sinner’s End and look for a coffin. Interact with the coffin and you’ll sacrifice your Moon Pendant and Divine Crown, but you’ll get The Divine Sword Fragment in return. Extract with it as soon as you get it.

Bring the Fragments back to the Forge Master in Dungeonborne and craft these Legendary Heirlooms once to unlock them. You can then craft them using Mithril Tokens or Star Fragments!

Enchanting Your Heirlooms

Aside from just crafting, you can Enchant your Heirlooms once you unlock them. You can add up to three different Enchantments, which are effectively extra passives. Just click on one of the circles below the Heirloom you want to craft to bring up the Enchantment interface.

Enchantments come in the same rarities as Heirlooms themselves. As you can imagine, the rarer they are the stronger they are, but also the more costly. You can unlock the Enchantments by using Ilmenite Ore or Refined Steel Ore, with each different Enchantment having its own cost.

It’s worth noting, however, that it appears that Enchantments can be used on multiple Heirlooms once unlocked. However, they aren’t applied retroactively to any Heirlooms you’ve already crafted! You need to craft a new version of the Heirloom to actually apply these Enchantments.
