Genshin Impact gets its 4.8 update, which will add a new summer-based event that lets you get a new time-limited region known as Simulanka.

Simulanka is the focus of the “Summertide Scales and Tales” event. It’s a fairly whimsical land, full of colorful creatures made out of paper and things of the sort. It’s officially described as a fairytale land and that’s the most apt description we can think of!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to easily enter the new Simulanka region.

How to Get to Simulanka in Genshin Impact 4.8

Simulanka Forest

The new time-limited map, Simulanka, is part of the “Summertide Scales and Tales” event as we mentioned before. That means that you’ll need to unlock Events first before you can access it, but it’s thankfully pretty easy to do. You just need to meet the following criteria:

  • Reach and complete Act III of the Prologue: Song of the Dragon and Freedom. Just follow the main story quests at the start of the game until you complete it.
  • Reach Adventure Rank 18. You’ll gain experience naturally as you explore and complete quests and you’re likely to get to AR 18 by the time you finish the prologue.

When you’ve met both requisites, the game should actually show you the available Events. If it doesn’t, however, just click on the compass-shaped icon in the interface.

Then simply select the “Summertide Scales and Tales” event and click on “Read”. Simulanka is a fairytale world, after all, and reading its book will transport you to this new region. A cutscene will automatically start and you will wake up in Simulanka. You can now freely explore this new region to your heart’s content!

Do note, though, that this region will only be available during the “Summertide Scales and Tales” event. The event will last from July 17th, 2024 to August 28th, 2024. More parts of the map will unlock as the event progresses, as well. Make sure to do everything you want in Simulanka before the event ends.

Anyway, that’s all there is to do to get to Simulanka in Genshin Impact. You can now start following the main quest, “The Story Begins in a Forest Without Rain”. It will have you do things such as help out the forest dwellers with Forest Fairy Nilou!

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
