Alongside the main story missions in Zenless Zone Zero, there are a bunch of side quests that you can complete to get some valuable rewards. While most missions and quests in this game are combat-focused, some require you to do something else to complete them.

The Survivor Rescue mission is like that, as completing it, requires you to solve puzzles. Our guide will look at a full walkthrough of the Survivor Rescue mission. Completing this mission can earn you some valuable items and resources.

Survivor Rescue Guide

Most of the Survivor Rescue mission is about solving planning route puzzles. As soon as you start the mission, the game will put a tutorial puzzle in front of you telling you how the puzzles work. Once you’ve completed the tutorial, you’ll be able to attempt the other 3 puzzles.

There are a total of 3 planning puzzles that you will need to complete for this mission. Our guide will cover the solution for each of them. While planning the routes, you will also want to gather all the resources along the path.

With that in mind, the solutions below are the optimal solutions for the puzzles, as they solve the puzzle and alongside that collect all the valuable resources.

Planning Route #1

first puzzle solution

The image above shows the ideal route you can take to get to the exit and get the resources in between. There’s only one square of interest here that you need to go over on your route. All three puzzles will have squares with Bangboos on them. These squares will give you a bonus prize after you’ve completed the puzzle.

Once you complete the puzzle, the square that had the Bangboo on it will be replaced by a silver coin. Before you make your way forward, go over the silver coin to get a bonus reward from it.

the valve you need to open after solving the puzzle

After each planning route puzzle, you will find a valve that will be locked. You can open this valve using gold coins you collect during the puzzles. As the first puzzle doesn’t give you any gold coins, you will start with 500 in your inventory. 500 is the exact amount needed to open the valve.

Once you’ve opened the valve, you can make your way to the next puzzle.

Planning Route #2

second puzzle solution

For the second puzzle, you will want to get to the while going through the Bangboos and then golden squares. Passing through each golden square will give you 500 gold coins. As there are 3 here, you can get a total of 1500 gold coins from this puzzle. The optimal route for the puzzle can be seen in the image above.

Once you complete the second puzzle, collect the rewards from the Bangboos you went over and proceed to the valve. You don’t need to collect the gold coins as they are automatically collected when you pass over them on your route.

Planning Route #3

3rd puzzle solution

In terms of difficulty, the third planning route puzzle is easily the hardest one. Like the previous puzzle, the third one also has 3 gold squares. Alongside that, it also adds one more Bangboo square that you need to go over for an additional item. You can see the optimal solution for the third puzzle in the image above.

Once you’ve completed the puzzle, go back and collect the items from the Bangboo squares. Lastly, open up the locked vault and proceed with the Survivor Rescue Exploration Commission mission. Opening up the last valve will require you to have 1500 gold coins instead of 500.

Finish the Mission & Get Your Rewards
