You should reach a roadblock during Chapter 1 of the story in Zenless Zone Zero, requiring you to reach the Certified Proxy Inter-Knot Reputation.
The protagonists have to start rebuilding their reputation after all, due to how things play out in the early chapters. It’s up to you to help them out by completing various tasks and facing a tough Rank-Up Trial!
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to reach the Certified Proxy Inter-Knot Reputation on your account.
How to Reach Inter-Knot Reputation: Certified Proxy
To reach the Certified Proxy Inter-Know Reputation, you will need to complete a special Rank Up trial. This will be your first Rank Up trial in the game. It is introduced as part of the story during the Chapter 1 Intermission. However, this trial has a few pre-requisites you must meet first as well:
Reach Inter-Knot Account Level 20 – This should come naturally to you. You’ll need to get Inter-Knot Credits to level up your account, which you get mostly through completing Commissions of any kind. For more help, check out our early game progression guide.
Complete Main Story Chapter 1 Intermission – Required as part of the main story and unmissable. You’ll simply need to follow your in-game sibling’s advice during the story. You’ll be introduced to a lot of new mechanics during this Intermission, so make sure to pay attention to the explanations in-game.
Collect a Total of 40 Hollow Observation Data – You can earn Hollow Observation Data by completing the extra objectives presented during every Commission. They are shown in the HDD’s Commissions menu as wire-frame globes.
Objectives can vary from simply requiring you to reach certain TV nodes in Exploration Commissions to requiring specific feats in battle during Combat Commissions.
You can check your progress for all of the Inter-Knot Rank Up requirements by opening the Inter-Knot menu and clicking on your profile in the top left.
This will open a page showing everything you still need to do to unlock the Rank Up Trial, while also showing you all of the benefits from Ranking Up. Most of the benefits are the ability to level up Agents and W-Engines even further, but you’ll also unlock extra difficulties for extra game modes such as Hollow Zero.
Starting & Completing the Rank Up Trial
You’ll receive a notification letting you know that you can reach the Certified Proxy rank once you’ve met all of the requirements for ranking up yourInter-Knot Reputation in Zenless Zone Zero. All you need to do is to pass the final test, a Rank Up Trial!
To start the Rank-Up Trial, check your HDD at your headquarters as usual. You should find a new Commission at the top of your Story Commissions. It’s simply called “[Rank-Up] Path of the Proxy I”. You’re recommended to have all of your Agents at Level 20, with Ice and Ether elements being optimal.
If you need a strong Ice team, check out our guide about Lycaon’s best teams. He belongs to some of the best teams in the game currently and is a strong Ice Agent.
You can also get some extra Hollow Observation Data from this Commission. These are the special objectives you should complete for the data:
Complete the Commission
Finish combat within 5m 30s
Finish combat within 5m
You’ll face off against a variety of strong Elite Ethereals during the trial, but it shouldn’t be too tough at this point in the game. Completing the trial will officially make your Inter-Knot account reach the Certified Proxy Reputation, allowing you to continue the story in Zenless Zone Zero.
Plus, you can now also level your Agents, Bangboos, and W-Engines past Level 20. On top of that, you can take on higher difficulties in Hollow Commissions, Combat Simulations, and Events. Higher difficulties give better rewards but don’t consume more Battery, making them a fantastic source of materials!
