Pax Dei is an upcoming sandbox game that you can play alone or with a bunch of your friends. It has a massive open-world world that you can explore, and there is a lot that you can do when playing the game.
A lot of what you do in this game revolves around getting resources and using those resources for crafting and building. One of the most valuable resources that you can get your hands on is Iron. We will be looking at how you can get the tier 2 version of Iron Ore in this game.
Where to Find Tier 2 Iron Ore
To get Iron in this game, you will need to mine it from deposits you find around that map. We will be focusing on the tier 2 version of Iron, Wrought Iron. This Iron is much rarer than the impure version, but at the same time, a much better resource.
If you are interested in the location for impure Iron deposits, check out our guide on impure iron deposits in Pax Dei. Impure Iron is more common than Wrought Iron, making it easier to find. Early on, Impure Iron is going to be the main source of your Iron.
Wrought Iron can mostly be found in the darker areas of your map.
The specific type of area is marked on the map above. Wrought Iron deposits are darker in color than their impure counterparts, making it easier to tell them apart. These areas are not that common on the map, so you might need to travel a bit if your base isn’t nearby.
Mining the Iron
Once you find the Iron deposit you were looking for, you can start to mine it using your pickaxe. You can use the stone pickaxe to mine the Iron deposits. After you get some Iron, make sure you craft an Iron pickaxe, as that will make mining much quicker.
You will need plenty of Iron throughout your time in Pax Dei, so make sure you mine enough.
We also did a guide on many other valuable ores and resources in Pax Dei, here’s most of them:
