In Throne and Liberty, you have 4 possible stats on which you can spend your stat points on, and it’s important to know the best distribution for your build.

These determine your effectiveness in combat, along with all the other aspects in the game. The way you spend your points is thus very important, as you don’t want to waste any.

This is where this guide aims to help you out. By making effective use of your points, you can get the best possible results from your character.

Stat Points Guide | Best Distribution

The main thing to consider for stat points distribution in Throne and Liberty is the main weapon you will be using. All of the 4 stats of Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom, and Perception mainly affect your weapon effectiveness.

Strength:

Strength is the first stat on the list, and can be very important depending on how you play. Most importantly, Strength dictates your tankiness, and how much damage you can take. If you’re running a build where you’re going to be taking damage, this is important. Strength also defines your base damage, further making it essential for tanky melee builds. However, it doesn’t increase attack speed unlike Dexterity, so keep that in mind.

Strength in Throne and Liberty

Most melee builds are going to have you in the middle of battle, taking the brunt of the damage. If you’re running any kind of melee build such as sword and shield, invest in Strength. This will give you a good boost during melee combat, as you can take more damage before death.

Generally, this is the most important stat for Sword & Shield and Greatsword.

Dexterity:

Dexterity is an important stat regardless of what build you’re running. It increases your attack speed and base main damage. This is an invaluable boost regardless of if you’re melee or ranged.

This dexterity boost will also help your evasion and critical hit rates, making it a very important stat for every build.

Dexterity is important for every DPS weapon type due to its attack speed increase. However, it’s generally most important for Daggers, Bow, and Crossbow.

Wisdom:

Wisdom increases your mana stats, giving you more and faster regeneration as well. As such, Wisdom is similar to Strength in that it’s only useful for a specific kind of build. This is what you should be focusing on if you’re a magic main.

Mana is needed to cast spells, so it’s pretty safe to say that Mana isn’t a resource you can ignore. For magic users, boosting mana boosts combat efficiency.

As you might guess, this is an important stat for the magical weapon types: Wand & Tome and Staff.

Perception:

Perception controls your accuracy, in a sense. It dictates your chances of actually hitting an enemy. It increases your hit rate and the chances of inflicting status ailments as well.

Perception

At the start of the game, while you’re leveling, you shouldn’t worry about this too much. Once you reach the endgame, however, this is the most important stat to work on for a majority of builds. The more chances you have of hitting your enemies and the fewer the chances of missing, the more your chances of winning fights.

Stat Breakpoints

Another important consideration for your stat distribution in Throne and Liberty is the various breakpoint bonuses. These bonuses trigger at set stat investment milestones and they can be pretty game-changing! This is a full list of all the stat breakpoints and their bonuses:

  • Strength
    • 30 Stat Points – Max Health +750
    • 40 Stat Points – Damage Reduction +15
    • 50 Stat Points – Heavy Attack Chance +100
    • 60 Stat Points – Max Health +900
    • 70 Stat Points – Max Health +450, Melee Defense +200, Ranged Defense +200

Depending on your build, you’ll want to prioritize hitting certain breakpoints over anything else. For example, getting the Buff Duration bonus from 40 Perception is a must for any build that relies on buffs, such as Sword & Shield + Wand & Tome!

Best Stat Distribution | What Stats to Prioritize

Now, here’s the tricky part with Throne and Liberty when it comes to stat distribution. As we explained in our article regarding the game’s class and weapon system, your class is defined by which pair of weapons you use. The way you want to distribute your stats is then based on what weapons you focus on.

To make things simpler, you should look at your selection of weapons as defining your role. For example, Sword & Shield + Greatsword makes you a melee-focused tank while picking Wand & Tome + Staff would make you a healer.

With that said, here’s the best stats to focus on based on what type of role you choose to play as:

  • Tank – Perception and Strength equally.
  • Physical DPS – Dexterity with Strength secondary if you double as a Tank or Wisdom if you require more Mana.
  • Magic DPS – Perception and Wisdom equally.
  • Healer – Wisdom first, Perception second.

This is all the information you need to have to be able to invest your stat points wisely in Throne and Liberty. The process of prioritizing stats can be a bit scary, but we’ve got your back!
