The Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter: World boasts a lot of new content, but most of which is gated by your current Master Rank.

Master Rank experience is obtained by completing pretty much any Master Rank task, such as Quest and Investigations. But if you want to reach the endgame quickly, you need to use efficient leveling methods!

In this guide, we tell you the fastest way to boost your MR and get you up to speed on the enemies you can expect to fight.

How To Level Up Master Rank Fast

Monster Hunter World Iceborne: How To Level Up Master Rank FAST - The Guiding Lands

By far the best way to increase your Master Rank quickly is to farm in the Guiding Lands. This is the true endgame content for Monster Hunter: World with the Iceborne expansion, and it shows!

Which monsters you face in the Guiding Lands are random, but they give more MR experience than the other regions.

However, you’re extremely likely to find Tempered and Arch Tempered Elder Dragons as you explore the Guiding Lands.

Conveniently, these Elder Dragons are by far the biggest source of Master Rank experience in the entire game!

You should be killing Tempered Elder Dragons frequently anyway. If you’re planning to get all Layered Armors or if you’re farming Decorations, you might as well farm efficiently.

Additionally, exploring and hunting in the Guiding Lands will increase the levels of the various regions. This will, in turn, make Tempered Elder Dragons even more frequent.

It’s still going to be a huge grind to level up your Master Rank to the cap, mind you. But the Guiding Lands make progression faster and more natural than completing regular Quests.

Truth be told, you would need to spend a lot of time farming in the Guiding Lands anyway for materials to improve your equipment. Might as well kill two birds with one stone, right?

Just make sure that you have a powerful build ready. You should have an easy time grinding your Master Rank to the max!
