In Monster Hunter World, Decorations or Decos are special gems that you can place on your armor or weapons to obtain special abilities, which are incredibly useful in your hunts.

The Deco(s) can be obtained in multiple ways, but some ways are objectively more efficient than others. Here, I will show you the most efficient methods on farming Decos in the game.

Complete Guide to Farming Decorations

Hunting The Greatest Jagras

You can access this event quest after completing all the main story content of Monster Hunter World.

In this quest, you will face an Arch Tempered Jagra, which is much larger than regular Great Jagras – it also has another movement.

At the end of the mission, the Jagras will reward you with good pieces of equipment and some Feystone. However, that is not the objective of the mission.

When you fight with the special Jagras and break parts of his body, it drops more objects on the ground than the normal variation would normally drop.

When you pick up these items, there is a very high chance that these are Feystones.

But be very careful! Despite being only a Jagras, it can kill you in just one or two hits. So, come well prepared or with as many friends as possible to make the fight easier.

To make your farming even more efficient, it might be a good idea to use the best weapons in the game!

Hunting Arch Tempered Lavasioth

Similar to The Greatest Jagras, this mission involves hunting an Arch Tempered Lavasioth, which upon damaging some of its parts – will drop additional loot including Feystones and pieces of Lavasioth.

However, this particular mission is not always recommended – since it involves a greater challenge than the Jagras mission while having a similar reward.

That’s why most hunters prefer to only hunt the Jagras.

But if you’re looking to farm your Decos and have a good challenge at the same time, prepare those cold drink, traps, and get ready to boil with the Leviathan’s fury!

Tempered Investigations

Investigation is always a safe, but less efficient way to get Decos. The most recommended are those that are T2, especially since they are the highest tier at that time in the game.

When you reach the Iceborne expansion, things change a little. You’ll have access to new events and missions, which will allow you to obtain better Decos of higher tiers!

Steamworks

This is an exclusive Seliana minigame in which you must help keep the steam engine warm. By helping this researcher, he will reward you with different items depending on your performance, including Feystones.

The Arch Tempered Elderly Dragons

When you hit MR 100 and after completing the Seliana story, you can do a new event, each one of which implies hunting one of the Arch Tempered Elderly dragons – Kushala Daora, Teostra, or Lunastra.

These missions reward you with the highest-tier Feystones, resulting in the best Decos you could get in the game.

Also, if your HR is not as high, you can also resort to the HR 24 mission of hunting an Arch Tempered Zinogre. It will help you improve a lot for that moment in the game – even if the rewards are not as good as the Elderly Dragons.

In the same way, you can do T3 research that will reward you with very good high-level Decos. With this, you should be ready to enter the world of Monster Hunter and become the best hunter in history.

May the Sapphire Star light your way, Hunters.
