How to Fuse Arrows in Tears of the Kingdom

One of the most exciting mechanics introduced in Tears of the Kingdom is the fusion mechanic. This basically lets you fuse a lot of stuff which you can use for a variety of purposes.

For example, you can fuse certain items with your arrows to grant them special effects and make them even more powerful in certain scenarios.

It’s a pretty dynamic system with a lot of options available. But how exactly do you fuse your arrows in Tears of the Kingdom? Let’s find out.

How to Fuse Arrows and Items in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Normally, you will be able to fuse a weapon with an item near you by holding it. However, it’s a bit different when it comes to arrows.

To do so, you first have to notch an arrow by pressing the ZR button. Now, instead of firing the bow like normal, you’ll want to fuse an item to its arrow by pressing and holding Up on your D-pad.

After that, a list of materials will pop up. Scroll through the list using your right thumbstick and choose which material you want to fuse with your arrow.

Simply select the material that you want to fuse and it will then automatically fuse itself with your arrow, granting it a special effect.

The effects would depend on the material that you fused with your arrow. Here are some notable examples:

• Fire Fruit – This results in the classic fire arrow which you can use to set your targets on fire or even cook meals on the go.
• Keese Eye – Fusing it with your arrow will transform it into a homing arrow that will track your enemies from a distance.
• Dazzlefruit – This combination lets you create an arrow that will blind nearby enemies with a flash of light upon impact.
• Ice Fruit – This will create an ice arrow that you can use to freeze your targets with ease.
