The Depths set is one of the brand-new armor sets available in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

This armor set is directly tied to the new underground area known as the Depths. Its special effect will allow you to resist the corrupting essence known as Gloom, making exploration easier.

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to find this full armor set!

The Depths set can only be obtained by buying it from the Poes Traders in the underground part of the game, The Depths. It fits, doesn’t it?

You will first need to progress the game until you’re able to access Lookout Landing in Central Hyrule. It’s directly south of Hyrule Castle, as shown on the map above.

You will also need to complete at least one of the Temples in the game. This will unlock the Poes Trader Statue in Lookout Landing.

Of course, this also means that you will need to gather Poes! They are basically the Rupees of the Depths and can be found randomly all over the underground area. They appear as small blue flames.

You can also ask this statue for help locating its brethren in the Depths, known as the Bargainer Statues. This will cost you an increasing amount of Poes but will put a marker for the other statues on your map.

Now, you will have to find 5 different Bargainer Statues in the underground and buy the armor pieces from them.

Each time you find a statue, they will “combine their powers” and create a new part of the set. You can then freely purchase each piece from any of them.

The Depths set has the following pieces, prices, and unlock conditions:

  • Tunic of the Depths – costs 150 Poes, will unlock once you find 1 Bargainer Statue.
  • Gaiters of the Depths – costs 200 Poes, requires 3 Bargainer Statues.
  • Hood of the Depths – costs 300 Poes, requires 5 Bargainer Statues.

Where to Find Bargainer Statues to Unlock the Armor Set

You may want to save up your Poes instead of paying the Lookout Landing statue for intel. After all, you have us to tell you where to find these statues!

Of course, it’s possibly easier to just pay up to the statue since it will put a marker on your map regardless of if you’ve found the area or not.

While this guide should help you, its helpfulness will depend on how much of the map you have uncovered in your game.

Still, it can get quite costly and the Depths set is already expensive enough. Not to mention the other stuff sold by these statues, such as the Dark set!

Anyway, let’s go over each Bargainer Statue’s location now. We’ll be using overworld landmarks as a reference as well since the Depths don’t have many landmarks on the map.

The first one is found east of the Plains Lookout Lading Chasm. This is the Plains Bargainer Statue, it’s northeast of the Great Abandoned Central Mine in the Depths.

The second one is to the east of the Naydra Snowfield Chasm. It’s sandwiched between the Wellspring of Wisdom and Lanayru Canyon Mine.

The third statue is directly northwest of the East Akkala Plains Chasm, by the Wellspring of Power.

Our fourth statue is right below the Popla Foothills. It’s southeast of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower on the surface, directly south of the Muokuij Lightroot in the Depths.

The fifth and final statue of this guide is far to the west of the Drenan Highlands Chasm. As you head west you will find the Drena Canyon Mine, but you need to keep going west a tad more!

After speaking with the final statue, you will be able to buy the entire Depths set from any of them whenever you wish!
