One of the best feelings you can get in video games is satisfaction after finding some obscure secrets that seem completely unreachable by normal means, and Elden Ring has plenty of such secrets.
In fact, most of these secrets were only known to a select few, and you can find our list of the top secrets in Elden Ring that involve some secret stories, interactions, and even helpful tips and tricks.
Meanwhile, some of these secrets reward players with a rare item, so we’ve decided to compile a list of the most obscure locations hiding items that were only ever found by a handful of players.
Here are some secret items in Elden Ring.
Hidden Rare Items Most People Don’t Know About in Elden Ring
The secret Dragoncrest Shield Talisman and Cinquedea
These two items can be found at the bottom of the exterior structure of the Bestial Sanctum. You’ll have to fall down a series of platforms, after jumping down the northwest ledge in this location. You should be able to see a portion of the sanctum down below – the items are hidden there. But remember that there is fall damage in this game – always target the highest platform when falling down.
Sword of St Trina
One of the two weapons in the game that can inflict the Sleep Status, it can be found in an underground room in the forsaken ruin. It isn’t necessarily hard to find, but in order to access the room with the chest, you need one Stonesword Key to open the Imp Seal, and a lot of players simply forget to visit the place with one, missing this unique weapon.
The Frozen Needle
This one doesn’t require any crazy platforming. In fact, this weapon is hidden in an easily accessible location called the Kingsrealm Ruins. Inspect the old building’s floors, south east of the closest site of grace and you should find an illusionary floor, beneath which is a boss called the Royal Revenant and behind it, a chest with the Frozen Needle!
Ritual Sword Talisman
This item is found in the Lux Ruins, guarded by a boss called the Demi-Human Queen Gilika. It seems easy to get to, but some players noted that the hill the ruins are located on is unclimbable. But in reality, only the northern portion is like that – if you approach the hill form the south, you should be able to climb it without any issues.
Alabaster’s Sword
This sword is dropped by an optional boss known as the Alabaster Lord. You can find him by taking the path behind the arena where you fought Royal Knight Loretta in Caria Manor. Follow it to the Royal Grave Evergaol, where you should be able to summon and fight the boss.
This one requires some platforming again. In the central site of Yelough Anix Ruins there is one destroyed building that cannot be accessed by normal means. You need to climb a nearby wall and jump into it, where you’ll find a basement with a single treasure chest, containing the Unendurable Frenzy Incantation!
