How to Upgrade Legendaries in Wartales

Legendary items are some of the most powerful items you can get in Wartales.

What sets them apart from other items is that they provide way more powerful bonuses and have way more damage. Aside from that, they also have unique effects that truly set them apart from other weapons.

Then there’s the fact that they each have a special name. For example, instead of a typical two-handed Iron Battle Axe, we have the Splitter, and so on.

There’s no denying they’re powerful, but there’s a way to make them even more powerful! And that’s by upgrading them. We’ll teach you how to do it in this guide!

Upgrading Legendary Items to Make Them More Powerful in Wartales

Most of the legendary items in Wartales can be obtained by defeating certain bosses. However, some can be looted from certain ruins.

That said, the upgrade process for all of them remains the same.

First off, you want to head to your Companion Training Grounds. Once there, simply look for Hired Goon Vaawaos and interact with him.

Click on the Upgrade button to open the upgrade interface. At this point, all you have to do is select which Legendary weapon you want to upgrade. Click the Forge button afterward.

Do take note that each upgrade will cost you hundreds of gold, and the higher you upgrade a weapon, the more gold you’ll end up spending.

However, you can only upgrade your weapons to a certain level that’s based on the highest level of the unit in your party plus two.

So if your highest level unit is level 9, you can only upgrade your legendary weapons to a maximum of level 11.

As such, if you want to increase the upgrade limit to even higher levels, your best option is to look for a unit that has a higher level in the first place.
