Commander Moto is one of the tinker characters that you can use to finish the campaign. However, it is best to know what best builds you can use to make him a more efficient character.
In this guide, we will be sharing some tips on how you can level up Commander Moto by using the best build, and some strategies that you can do to quickly level up.
Commander Moto Leveling Guide in Torchlight Infinite
The first thing we would like to consider to easily level up Commander Moto is its build. For this guide, we will show you how to use the Summoner build which uses the machine guards.
One important use of machine guards is when you are exploring a new map location. When you enter a map, just summon the machine guards and leap into the enemies to take them all down. To make your army stronger, use the dark gate and the machine guards.
The good thing about this build is your ability to deal damage while still being a very mobile character.
Leveling
At the start of the game, you will only have one Summon Machine Guard skill and one Compound Potion. Since for every summon, two minions are spawned, this is already a good edge against the enemies.
However, you can still increase the number of machine guards at this point. Go to the Skill List. Remove the Compound Potion skills and replace them with another Summon Machine Guard skill. For the first Summon Machine Guard, add the minion damage. Take note that once you added this to the first skill, you cannot add it to another.
But if you are not that confident with going to the battlefield without a hp and mana regen, you can proceed with the Compound Potion. However, having two Summon Machine Guards allows you to have a maximum of four minions with damage buff which makes it easier to level up.
Level 3
At this level, you will have another option of adding another skill because of an extra slot. You can choose the Leap Attack to have some mobility, Compound Potion for fast regenerations, and another Summon Machine Guard to increase the maximum number of machine guards you can summon.
However, at this point, your damage is still sufficient to take down enemies, so you can just choose the Leap Attack for evading and for movement speed. Your machine guards will also receive the incoming damages for you so it’s alright to proceed without the Compound Potion.
Level 5
When you reach level 5, you unlock the fourth skill slot. At this point, you can now increase your total damage by adding another Summon Machine Guard. By this time, you will have a maximum of six minions that you can summon.
Level 7
Another damage buff at this level. When you reach level 7, you will unlock the next slot to add damage to your second Summon Machine Guard. So simply add the Minion Damage to the next skills to make your army more powerful.
Plus, you will also be able to access the Energy System. Here you will use energy points to add another skill set for the specific skill equipped. When you add another skill set, you will be able to add another buff. In this case, for example, the first Summon Machine Guard skill can have both the Minion Damage and another one that you can buy from the shop.
Among the available skill sets, you can consider buying and equipping the Precision Strike as the second skill set.
Level 11
At level 11, you will unlock the last skill. You will have the first three choices on your bag, but you can go for some that are still in the Shop.
Based on the previous builds, the recommended skill for this would be the Dark Gate. This allows your minions to be teleported to your locations while also granting them a damage buff two seconds upon use.
Aside from that, you will also unlock your big talent point. Choose the first choice, Orders.
Level 12
The first thing you will unlock at this level is the Pact system. For the first two, go for the Elemental Resistance.
The other one would be the first Aura Slot. Choose the Swiftness and activate it to obtain +6% movement speed.
Level 15
By this time, you will unlock your first Hero Trait which is Order Calling. This is a slot that fills up over time. Once it is completely filled, summoning any machine guards will give them a great damage buff. Moreover, using the Dark Gate when this is filled up grants buff to all of your minions.
Another thing is the skill set for your fourth skill which is the Leap Attack. Once you unlock it, equip and activate the Quick Mobility.
You can also start modifying your previous skill sets. For your Summon Machine Guard skills, you can replace the Minion Damage with Mechanical Modification.
Level 20
At this level, you will get another talent with your 20th point. Choose the Mighty Guard.
Next, change the skill set of your second Summon Machine Guard. Replace the Minion Damage with Maniacal Army.
Another thing that you have to unlock at this level is your next tree. Choose the God of Machines.
Another thing is in the Pact. Retrieve all the pact points that you have used previously for the Elemental Resistance, and transfer them all to the Offense Inner Ring 1, 2, and 3, and Offense Middle Ring 2.
Lastly would be about your aura. At this point, you can now change your Swiftness aura into either Summon Thunder Spirit, Summon Frost Spirit or Summon Flame Spirit.
