Terraria: How to Get Wings 1.4.4 Update

Some players in Terraria have finished the game without even owning a pair of wings. It usually involves crafting or random drops.

For someone starting on Terraria in 2022, it is going to be quite some time until you get yourself a pair. Or is it?

In this guide, we will show you how to grab a pair of wings early in the game with a few simple steps and a lot of patience if this is your first playthrough of Terraria 1.4.4.

How to Get Wings in Terraria 1.4.4 update

The wings we will be able to get for you are the fledgling wings. This can be obtained early on in the game if you know how to do it. To get this easily, we are going to create a new world seed.

Many thanks to Udisen Games for providing the world seed as well as the tips. To get you started, head over to your character select screen and pick create a new world.

Create a new world in Terraria using seed code 1.4.1. 1330349749

Log in to the world seed you have created. You will need to get as high as you can until you reach the outer layer of your world.

Get to the outer layer of the world

To do this you will either have to use a flying mount to go as high as you can, build a block pillar to reach the top or you can use the gravity potion. If are just starting, your option will be to build a block to reach the skies.

Mine a few dirt blocks in the area and proceed to build a pillar to the top. The easiest way to do this is to jump and land a block below your feet. Do this a number of times until the scene changes to a dark sky.

Travel right until you see a lake

Jump down from your pillar and travel to your right. You will eventually come across a lake. See the image above. When you see that landmark on your screen then you’re on the right track.

Launch yourself from the fifth tree on the other side of the lake to reach the floating island

Head to the right side of the lake and start counting the trees from left to right. On the fifth tree, you can either create another block pillar or if you have a flying mount just fly straight up. The floating island will then be spawned into your world.

Climb up the Floating Island and get the Fledgling Wings from the Skyware Chest

Head towards the floating island. There will be a cottage in the area. Go towards it and look for the Skyware chest and open it. Among the items are the fledgling wings which is one of the wings you can acquire in Terraria.
