The Under Pressure level is a 3-key difficulty level inside The Thresher, which also happens to be one of the most dangerous in the game. At this level, water is leaking quickly, so your objective is to climb out to safety as quickly as possible.

Of course, you have to solve a puzzle in order to do this. If you don’t know the solution to that puzzle, then take a look at the guide below.

Under Pressure Puzzle Solution in Escape Academy

Take note that this level is quite a lengthy one, so make sure to follow all steps properly in order to solve it. To start the level, you need to head over to The Thresher room on your map. Once you’re in there, speak with Jeb the janitor. A window will then pop up showing the level as well as its difficulty.

As soon as you enter the level, head over to the gray box on the left side. Interact with it in order to open the box and obtain the small key inside. At the same time, a recording will activate, stating that the thresher has been activated.

Once this happens, interact with the power box in the middle to open it using the small key. Turn off the power, and on the left corner of the room, you’ll see a handprint on a wall. Interact with that handprint to cause the wall to collapse, subsequently revealing some tools. Pick them up to obtain the clippers, hammer, and screwdriver.

Head back to the power box and turn the power back on. You’ll then notice the lights up on the right which will reveal a board with a heart sign on it. Interact with the sign and use the hammers to remove it. This will show the word “FEAR” which is a code you need to enter at the first door.

After opening the door, climb up the ladder until you reach the second floor.

Solving the Second Floor

Upon reaching the second floor, you’ll notice a blue valve handle tied to a rope on your right. Interact with it and use the clippers to cut it loose. Place the blue valve handle on the door then solve the valve handle puzzle using this solution:

  • Set the yellow to 3
  • Set the blue to 4
  • Set the red to 6

This will unlock the door revealing a small crane inside with a key at the tip. You have to interact with the wheel to raise the crane and reveal the key. Pick up the rusty key and use it to unlock the chains holding the handicam in the middle of the room.

Go back to where the crane was and attach the handicam to the hook. Spin the wheel to lower the crane, and then go outside to reveal the word “WILL” on the TV screen. Head over to the locked door and enter the code to unlock it. Climb up the ladder to reach the third floor.

Solving the Third Floor

Upon reaching the third floor, interact with the toilet on the right to obtain the safe manual inside. Then, pick up the three acrylic sheets in the following locations:

  • One on the wall just right next to the toilet
  • One on top of the red couch
  • One inside a box just in front of the locked door

Now, you need to place the three acrylic sheets on the wall right next to the toilet. However, they have to be placed in a specific order. The correct answer for this one is 510, so just make sure to arrange your sheets to form that number.

Once done, inspect the power box on the right side of the locked door. You’ll notice that it has a lock below it. You just have to unlock it using the code on the wall. However, the power box is missing a handle, so the next step is to head over to the safe which is in front of the locked door.

There are two buttons on the safe. All you need to do is press Circle twice, Square once, spin the handle, then press Square again. Once it opens, pick up the handle inside and attach it to the power box. Turn the power off and go back to the wall to reveal the word “SLOW”.

Head over to the door and enter the code to unlock it. Climb up the stairs to reach the fourth floor.

Solving the Fourth Floor

On the fourth floor, you need to pick up the Cipher Sheet on the wall as well as the two Strange Devices on the table. You’ll notice two ciphers on the wall, and using the Cipher Sheet, decipher them to solve the puzzle. The answers are “Under Pressure” and “Over Weight”.

Look for the pipe with the label “Water Pressure” and inspect the panel then remove the cover using the screwdriver. Place one of the Strange Devices on the lower slot to reveal the letters “UR”. Next, look for the pipe with the label “Water Weight”, and similar to the previous one, remove the panel cover. This time, however, you need to place the other Strange Device in the upper slot. This will reveal the letters “YO”.

When you combine these letters, you’ll get the word “YOUR” which you’ll need to enter into the door to unlock. Climb up the stairs to reach the fifth floor.

Solving the Fifth Floor

The puzzle on this floor is by far the hardest. To start, you want to look for an old crate and then smash it using the hammer. This will reveal an Old Map inside of it which will show you a clue on how to solve this floor’s puzzle.

Next, you want to turn on the switch on the power box. This will light up the pipes, and this is also when you have to start solving the puzzle. Connected pipes will reveal a word in the panels on the wall. You’ll want to look for the words MOVE, BEND, KIND, and FIRE.

Then, you want to refer to the Old Map to reveal the final word which is MIND. Enter the code on the locked door then climb up the ladder toward the final room.

Solving the Final Floor

On the last floor, you’ll have one last puzzle to solve. Luckily, this one is actually easy as you just have to use all of the words you’ve discovered on the previous floors. After reaching the final floor, head over to the terminal and input the exact phrase “FEAR WILL SLOW YOUR MIND”.

This will then open the exit, thus completing the level.
