The Billiard Room in Blue Prince has a puzzle that requires you to solve math operations to complete.

You have to look at the dartboard and pay attention to which panels light up. On top of that, you need to know what each of the light colors represents so that you know what to do with the number. It’s a lot of math, too, as you’ll need to solve multiple operations until the puzzle’s completed!

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to be able to solve this puzzle.

How to Get the Billiard Room Puzzle Solution | Blue Prince

The darts puzzle in the Billiard room is purely a math puzzle, as we mentioned before. Its solution is also randomized each time and increases in complexity the more times you do the room. To solve the puzzle, you have to pay attention to the colors of the lit panels and what number they are for. Then, solve the mathematical operation they show.

Here’s what mathematical function the colors represent:

  • Green – Add.
  • Yellow – Subtract.
  • Pink – Multiply.
  • Purple – Divide.

To input a number, click on it on the dartboard’s edge. Usually, the first number will just be a single one. So, for example, a single 7 panel may light up. Click on it to start the puzzle.

Aside from that, keep in mind that the order of operations starts with the inner circle and ends with the outer circle. The traditional order of operations rules don’t apply here, it’s all about the dartboard’s circles!

Solve enough mathematical operations in sequence and you’ll complete the puzzle. As a reward, the dartboard will slide away and reveal a secret compartment with your reward. The reward is always some type of key, including special ones.

Other Rules and Gimmicks for the Billboard Room Puzzle | Blue Prince

The colored panels aren’t everything! There are a lot of other rules and gimmicks to keep in mind for this puzzle. Most of them won’t show up until you’ve gone through the room multiple times, however. That said, these are all the gimmicks and rules we know of so far:

  • Unlike a normal darts board, you can ignore the doubles and triples. They’re all singles here.
  • A red X in a panel means you can skip it.
  • A red / means you need to divide your final result by half.
  • Red dots indicate you need to repeat the step by the number of dots shown.
  • Two ~ on the bullseye means you need to round to the nearest 1.
  • Four ~ on the bullseye means you need to round to the nearest 10
  • Six ~ on the bullseye means you need to round to the nearest 100.
  • If the bullseye has a colored square, you need to multiply the matching-colored number by itself. If there are two squares, you need to multiply the result by itself as well.
  • A colored diamond in the bullseye means you need to reverse the numbers in the matching color. For example, 15 becomes 51.
  • A panel being 1/3 colored means you need to divide it by 3.

With all that said, you now have everything you need to know to be able to figure out the solution to the Billiard Room puzzle in Blue Prince. It is randomized each time, after all, so we can’t help you much more with it, sadly…

There’s one puzzle we can help you more with, though! For more details, check out our full guide for the Drawing Room secret safe code puzzle.
