Fortunately, there are a few ways to increase your chances of getting this legendary bottle.
How to Get Message In a Bottle in Melvor Idle
Message in a Bottle is considered a “special item” which means you should choose a fishing spot that gives you the highest chance to get those – preferably, Tench of Despair or Open Waters. You should choose the fastest fish to catch, to maximize your chances of getting the item. Unfortunately, that still only gives you a 2% chance of getting a special item – and there’s only a 0.15% chance that that item will be the bottle you’re looking for.
Getting the Best Odds
Obviously, to get the best results, you should come prepared – equip your best rod and the Amulet of Fishing. Having fishing at level 50 or higher will increase the chance of getting a special item by 3%, so it’s a must as well. On top of that, you should have the last mastery pool checkpoint unlocked, as it will give you a 25% chance to receive one extra Special Item. Lastly, you can upgrade your Astrology Ameria Constellation item mastery, for even better chances.
These are the best odds you can have. It can still take a long time to find the Message in the Bottle, but unfortunately, this is the most reliable way to get this item, at least for now. But don’t give up – remember that you can always leave the game to fish on its own.
