Throne & Liberty global release is almost here, and new players are already flooding in through the early access packs that you can buy right now. As the game has been out for certain regions quite a while now, a lot of testing has already been done with all of the weapons to figure out which combos are the best. In this tier list, we will be ranking the best and worst healer setups specifically for PVE.

Best PVE Healer Weapon Combination Tier List

Before we begin, just remember that these tier lists are purely subjective and is a mere reflection of the current meta, which we all know can change at any time.

With that said, this should still help you figure out what setup is right for you, even if it isn’t rated as “the best”. Skill and gear will always be a major factor in your success as a healer, so just picking the supposed best combination won’t always be enough!

Finally, this is going to be focusing mainly on the wand & tome as it is the only main “healer” weapon at the moment, with the longbow as a close second. Let’s get to the rankings!

S Tier

  • Wand & Tome + Staff – This combo is one of the absolute best in terms of versatility. Not only will this setup give you a lot of utility and support, but it’s no slouch when it comes to dealing damage as it has a lot of impactful area of effect abilities that you can easily weave into your rotation.
  • Wand & Tome + Longbow – This combo comes in as a close second to the one above it, as it also offers a ton of support and utility to your whole party. The downside is that it does not offer the same damage dealing capabilities as the previous entry. It sits comfortably at the top tier as its only disadvantage is offset by having CC removal and CD Reduction for the whole party.
  • Wand & Tome + Sword & Shield – Sword & shield with the wand & tome is an odd one because it is really more of a tank setup that just happens to provide some healing as well. We’re putting it up here because with good gear, it has the potential to take over both the tank & healer roles, allowing your party to allocate another slot for DPS.

A Tier

  • Wand & Tome + Daggers – This combination, at least for PVE, is not really the most ideal as it tends to have issues with mana upkeep unless you have some of the best equipment for maintaining it. With that said, it is a fairly versatile combo that also has a lot of damage potential and even crit heals.

B Tier

  • Wand & Tome + Crossbow – The wand & tome + crossbow combo is okay for all forms of PVE content, but it is currently outclassed by the daggers, albeit by just a small margin. It is a fun alternative to the sole A Tier entry since they are both fairly good at contributing area of effect DPS on top of their heals.
  • Wand & Tome + Greatsword – This setup is more geared towards easy content and even solo or open world stuff. In a group setting, this falls off greatly in comparison to those in the upper tiers. An argument could probably be made for putting this in a lower ranking, but we don’t think it’s that bad.
  • Longbow + Staff – Although this weapon combination is actually pretty good on the damage dealing side, as a healing setup, it falls off in group content. It has some good self-healing potential, but the last thing people would want to see in their party is a selfish healer. It’s alright for easier content.

And that concludes this tier list, which is geared more towards support-oriented players. Overall, there isn’t really a “wrong” option as far as healers go, but if you want to tackle the hardest PVE content in the game, you might want to stick with the highly rated combos.
