Whether you’re looking for a team to play or you’re just curious, you’ve come to the right place to get a look at some of the best team combos in Neverness to Everness.
NTE has a fairly small but solid roster of characters currently, being still in 1.0. That said, it can still be tough to figure out who’s worth pulling for and what characters synergize well with each other!
In this article, I’ll tell you the best teams currently in the game and what makes them so good.
Baicang Hypecarry Team | Strong AoEs

If you want to make the one male S Rank character in 1.0 work, this is the team for you! And no, the male Zero doesn’t count! Anyway, the team is: Baicang, Sakiri, Jiuyuan, and Daffodil.
This is a very simple team to play, as you can do massive damage. You only have 2 Esper Cycles to worry about: Hexed (Anima + Incantation), and Scorch (Incantation + Chaos).
With this team, your game plan is pretty simple. Use Sakiri to group up enemies and buff the team, while using Jiuyuang and Daffodil primarily to trigger Esper Cycles.
Try to apply as much Scorch as possible by swapping from Daffodil to either Sakiri or Baicang. Both of them have fantastic enhancements for that Esper Cycle, making it deal more damage while also allowing you to reapply it with ease.
Worth noting here, while we’re at it: Esper Cycle Enhancements are passives. So, both Sakiri’s and Baicang’s will apply, regardless of which character actually triggers the Esper Cycle.
As for Jiuyuang, she can help you further group up enemies, much like Sakiri. More importantly, though, she allows you to trigger the Hexed Esper Cycle with Baicang. This massively increases his damage output, which is why he’s the hypercarry DPS for this team.
In summary, buff up with Sakiri and apply as much Scorch as possible. Then apply Hexed with Jiuyuan switching to Baicang and incinerate your foes! Extremely effective, particularly when dealing with groups of foes.
Chiz Hypercarry Team | F2P Friendly

If you want a very easy team to build up, this one might be your best bet by far! This team consists of Chiz, Jiuyuan, Hathor, and either Zero or Haniel.
What makes this team so easy to build is the fact that Chiz is your main damage-dealer. You can get her for free by just progressing through the game’s City Tycoon content.
Additionally, you obviously have Zero from the start of the game, being the protagonist. As for Haniel, she’s an A Rank, so you’ll probably get her to 6 dupes without even realizing. Plus, she’s currently given away for free!
That leaves only Jiuyuan and Hathor as the hang-ups, both being S Rank characters. However, you can get them fairly easily with the various selectors given away in 1.0. So, they’re easy to get, even if you’re unlucky with the gacha.
Now, Zero vs Haniel as your last pick is sort of up to you. Zero allows for much easier rotations, but Haniel can boost the team’s damage further. Both are fantastic, though, so just pick what you’re comfortable with.
Whichever version of the time you go for, your most important Esper Cycle to focus on is Charge, triggered with Cosmos + Anima + Lakshana.
By going for Charge, you’ll trigger both Remora and Blossom. Then, you’ll get a total of 14 Ultimate Energy when Blossom’s Vita Pistilshit Remora-affected enemies. In short, you’ll get a lot of Ultimates!
The one thing that can make the team hard to use is Chiz’s over-complicated kit. However, I can simplify it for you! Use Basic Attacks to get Grain, then tap or hold your Skill to spend Grain on powerful attacks. That really is enough to get you through a lot with her.
Overall, a very powerful team that has a lot of versatility. It also has a very low skill floor, but a high skill ceiling, so you can get more out of it as you get better at the rotations.
Nanally Focus Team | The Ichi-daime Special

Last but not least, I thought it would be important to cover a team focused on Nanally. After all, she the current limited gacha character and it is one of the strongest teams currently. The team is: Nanally, Zero, Jiuyuan, and Sakiri.
Now, Nanally herself is extremely reliant on being the active character. She ramps up her damage overtime, so you rarely want to switch her out. So, the rest of the characters here are mainly meant to empower her.
As such, this team has a simple game plan. First, aim to trigger the Blossom Esper Cycle with Jiuyuan and Zero. After that, you’ll want to trigger the Hexed Esper Cycle by swapping from Sakiri to Nanally.
Blossom will be greatly empowered by both Jiuyuan’s and Nanally’s Enhancements. Conversely, Nanally herself will also be greatly powered up by Hexed, which powers up follow-up attacks.
Crucially, all of Nanally’s attacks receive a follow-up attack component after she uses her Ultimate to summon the Underboss. So, she benefits massively from Hexed! Even better if you managed to use Sakiri’s Ultimate in the process for an extra attack buff.
Since the overall game plan is so simple and heavily focused on Nanally, this is also a very easy team to do well with. After all, Nanally herself is a pretty simple character to play efficiently.
Overall, a very strong team that has no trouble clearing most content. It might be a tad too simple and a bit of a one-trick pony for some players, but it fully plays into Nanally’s strengths.
Wrapping Up

So, there you have it! Those are my recommended best team combos in Neverness to Everness. Hopefully, at least one of these fits your needs and wants!
That said… while these teams are overall based on the current meta of the game, don’t feel scared of experimenting with your own, either. The game is overall not difficult enough that you need to minmax!
If you want a team-building tip to end on, I have a simple one for you: focus on Esper Cycles. That’s the secret to proper team building in this game! As long as you have a team that can trigger and take advantage of Esper Cycles, you’re solid.
Nonetheless, I hope this helped you pick out a team to focus on in this game! Now, go get those Anomalies.
