Fans of the Xenoblade Chronicles series will be glad to know that one of the original monsters has made it into Xenoblade Chronicles 3. This monster is none other than the Piranhax.

This time, however, you will need to hunt the Piranhax in order to obtain Rich Fish Meat which is part of a quest. In this guide, I’ll show you where exactly you can find the Piranhax.

Where to Find Piranhax Location in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Piranhax are aquatic enemies you have to hunt if you need the Refreshing Piranhax Meat or Rich Fish Meat for quests or cooking materials.

Luckily, they’re rather easy to find as they tend to spawn in water around specific areas once you’ve unlocked the right part of the world.

In the first few stages of the game, you will get a quest named Collectopaedia Cards from Roald. He will ask you to collect a bunch of items which include 3 Chewy Radishes, 3 Clusterelles, and 2 Rich Fish Meat.

As for the latter, the only means of obtaining them is by hunting Piranhax.

The most consistent spot where you can find Piranhax is in the Pentelas Region, specifically around the Great Cotte Falls area.

Simply fast travel to Titan Rock Camp, then head north toward the waterfall and jump into the watery area below. You should see Piranhax swimming around there.

This spot is basically the main farming spot for the Piranhax’s meat drops and eggs if you’re building a recipe or finishing a quest.

When you take down Piranhax in the Pentelas Region, the common drop you can get is the Refreshing Piranhax Meat.

This resource is used in multiple cooking recipes, such as the Squishy-Fishy Grillwrap, and can also be part of collectible progress.

Some variants, such as the Onogoro Piranhax, can also drop Red Piranhax Egg and other crafting materials listed in drop tables.

When farming for Piranhax, don’t just stand on the shoreline. These fish hang under and around the waterfall pool area.

Instead, run in and engage them directly, as they respawn if you fast travel back to Titan Rock Camp and return, so you can farm them for materials fairly quickly.
