Tracktail Lizards are one of the many little critters you can find in Monster Hunter Wilds, and you’ll need to know where exactly they live for some quests. These charming little lizards mostly roam around the Oasis and caves in the Windward Plains. They’re just fairly tiny, so you might’ve missed them as you fought with the larger monsters in the game!

In this guide, we’ll give you the exact location of the Tracktail Lizards as well as show you what they look like so you never miss them.

Where To Find Tracktail Lizards | Monster Hunter Wilds

You can generally find Tracktail Lizards all over the Windward Plains region. However, the Oasis in Area 13 of the Windward Plains seems to be the best spot for them by far. We’ve marked this Oasis for you on the map above.

Now, Tracktail Lizard spawns are fairly random. You might need a bit of luck and patience! Nonetheless, you should just try to walk around the dunes near the Oasis until you spot them. Tracktail Lizards usually roam in pairs and you can see what they look like in the image above. Their huge tails somewhat make them look more like scaly meerkats than just lizards, right? Especially when they stand on their tails!

If you can’t seem to spot them right near the Oasis, it’s a good idea to try checking near the caves connecting Area 13 to other Areas. They seem to spawn near these caves fairly frequently. Just as before, you’ll usually find them roaming in pairs.

So, there you have it! That’s where to find these sneaky Tracktail Lizards in Monster Hunter Wilds. In summary, check around the Oasis in Area 13 of the Windward Plains and you should find them pretty easily. Be patient, though, their random spawns can be annoying sometimes…
