The Street Fighter collab quest for Monster Hunter: Wilds,Ultimate Strength, will require you to find a monster carcass or two within the Oilwell Basin location.
You can do this quest once you reach HR21. It seems that there’s someone or something going around wrecking the local Tempered monsters. Based on what the locals say, it sounds like the monsters got basically pulverized! Investigating this is but one of the first steps you need to take to unlock Akuma’s armor set.
Ready to get to the bottom of this? Read on and we’ll tell you the carcasses’ exact locations!
Monster Carcass Location for Ultimate Strength | Monster Hunter Wilds
There are two different monster carcasses you need to find within the Oilwell Basin. You can do them in either order, too. In our case, we’ll first go for the one in the upper stratum. This one is in the Rathian nest in Area 5 of the basin’s top layer. Go there and look at the dead Tempered Rathian to complete the objective.
Now, let’s go for the one in the middle stratum. That one is in Area 11 of the basin’s central layer. The easiest way to reach it is to just go west of the Area 9 Pop-Up Camp if you have unlocked it. As before, you’ll find another dead monster here. This time it’s a Tempered Gypceros. Look at it to trigger a small cutscene and complete this objective!
If you have trouble because of the carcasses not showing up at their locations, try leaving the Oilwell Basin. Go to any other area in the game and then return to Oilwell Basin. This seems to “refresh” the area so that the carcasses properly spawn.
Once you’re done with both carcasses, you just need to go talk with Maki in Azus within the Oilwell Basin. Her exact location will be marked on your in-game map, so finding her shouldn’t be an issue.
So, there you have it, that’s the location for every monster carcass you need for the “Ultimate Strength” quest in Monster Hunter: Wilds. We hope this helped you get one step closer to unlocking Akuma’s armor set!
