Monster Hunter Wilds has a fairly long and straightforward low rank main story portion that you can go through within 10 to 20 hours depending on how fast and how experienced you already are with the franchise. During the Forest Findings main story quest, you are tasked with the simple objective of “head toward the forest”. Here is a quick guide on how to do it!
Head Toward the Forest Guide
Once you get the objective to simply “head toward the forest”, all you need to do is open the map and then follow the quest marker leading to the zone transition at the edge of area 10. This leads to the next region, which is, you guessed it, the forest you need to go to.
Seriously, that is literally all you need to do. There is a quest marker leading you there, so we have no clue as to why or how you might be lost. For future reference, always keep an eye out for the red icon that is highlighted in the image above.
Once you transition to the next zone, you will be on one of the game’s many automated walking sections where you literally do not need to touch the controls. Congratulations, you have now bested the very first part of this mission. Later on, you will be taking on a certain hairy monster, and we hope you are not afraid of spiders…
Since you are still this early into the game, you might need some low rank resources to upgrade or craft new gear pieces. To help you out with this, check out our guide on where to get monster fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds in order to farm up a lot of this stuff before they become obsolete later on.
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
