Fucium Ore is a Rarity 6 ore in Monster Hunter Wilds, and you’ll need to know where to farm it if you wish to make endgame equipment.
This rare ore is required to make and upgrade a lot of equipment once you get to High Rank. It’s a bit of a pain to find, sadly, but it’s easier when you know where to look!
In this short guide, we’ll tell you the exact location of Fucium Ore nodes in MH Wilds.
Where To Find Fucium Ore | Monster Hunter Wilds
The best spot to find Fucium Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds is the High Rank Wyveria Ruins. It’s worth noting that you will not get Fucium Ore from the Low Rank version of the Wyveria Ruins, so stick to the High Rank variant.
Once you get to the Wyveria Ruins, you want to mine every possible Mining Outcrop. There are dozens of them and this region has multiple layered maps, however. As such, it can be pretty hard to find them all. We recommend selecting the “Filter Icons” tool in the bottom left of the Map screen.
Select the “Mining Outcrop” icon here. This allows you to set a Waypoint to the nearest Mining Outcrop, as well as Highlight all of the ones in the map. Use this to be able to find them all easily in the game itself!
Now, the trick is that every Mining Outcrop has a chance to drop Fucium Ore. However, it’s pretty rare and completely reliant on luck. If you want to optimize, we recommend using equipment that has the Level 3 Geologist Skill. It doesn’t increase your chances of obtaining Fucium Ore, but it does make you get twice as many ores every time you gather. The weather being at “Plenty” also helps!
If you already exhausted all Mining Outcrops, wait 15 real-life minutes for them to refresh. Alternatively, you can start and cancel any Quest to force them to refresh instantly.
So, there you have it, that’s how to get the rare Fucium Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds! This will ultimately rely purely on luck, so we wish you the best luck when mining. If you’re at the endgame, you might also want to make better Artian Weapons. For help with that, check out how to get higher-tier Artian Weapon Parts!
