If you want to get the best weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll need to start farming higher Rarity tier Artian Weapon Parts.
Artian Weapons are the best possible weapons for a lot of builds. They allow for some unique setups that regular monster-based weapons don’t, such as a Blast Greatsword. However, you need to get the highest tier of parts to make the highest tier weapons!
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Artian Parts tiers and how to get the best ones.
How To Get Higher Tier Artian Weapon Parts | Monster Hunter Wilds
You can get higher tier Artian Weapon Parts by simply hunting higher tier Tempered Monsters. They are the main source of Artian Weapon Parts, and their difficulty rating directly ties into the Artian Weapon Parts’ Rarity.
You can find Tempered Monsters roaming in the environment as well as in Quests and Investigations. As you most likely know by now, these monsters start appearing after you reach Chapter 5 in the story. They always have “Tempered” in the name and a purple glow around their icon, as shown above.
What’s more, you can actually check what tier of Artian Parts you will get before you even hunt a monster. While looking at the details for Tempered Monster hunts, check the “Bonus Rewards” category. Hover over the rewards to see that some of them are “Damaged Weapon Shards” and “Ancient Weapon Fragments” and such. Those are the unappraised Artian Weapon Parts.
It’s worth noting that these unappraised parts are also one Rarity lower than the Artian Parts you will get when appraising. For example, Ancient Weapon Parts are Rarity 7 but will become random Rarity 8 parts when appraised. It’s a bit of an odd design choice, but keep it in mind.
Now, here’s a quick rundown of what Tempered Monsters drop which tier of Artian Weapon Parts:
Rarity 6 Parts – All 5-star Tempered Monsters: Chatacabra, Quematrice, Lala Barina, Congalala, Balahara, Rompopolo, Nerscylla, Hirabami, Yian Kut-Ku, Gypceros, and Rathian.
Rarity 7 Parts – All 6-star Tempered Monsters: Doshaguma, Ajarakan, Guardian Doshaguma, Guardian Rathalos, Guardian Ebony Odogaron, Xu Wu, Guardian Fulgur Anjanath, Rathalos, Gravios, and Blangonga.
Rarity 8 Parts – All 7-star and 8-star Tempered Monsters: Uth Duna, Rey Dau, Nu Udra, Jin Dahaad, Gore Magala, and Arkveld.
Remember to save monsters you wish to hunt frequently as Investigations to make them easier to track!
Use the Melding Pot
Aside from hunting Tempered Monsters, you can also get higher tiers of Artian Weapon Parts by using the Melding Pot at Suja Village. Just select the “Meld Relics” option.
This becomes particularly useful once you reach HR 100, as it will allow you to craft specific Rarity 7 Artian Parts for 120 Meld Points each.
The Melding Pot in this case mostly works as a sort of “pity” system. Your primary source of Meld Points for crafting Aritan Parts will be the various tiers of Wyverian Bloodstones. You get said Wyverian Bloodstones by defeating Tempered Monsters. Of course, you can also use lower tiers of Artian Parts for melding, but they aren’t worth much. Nonetheless, this really comes in handy if you’re having bad luck getting specific parts.
So, there you have it, that’s how to get the higher tier Artian Weapon Parts in Monster Hunter Wilds. Make sure to check out our guide on Artian Weapons if you need help with crafting, as well. We wish you the best of luck on your hunts!
