The Shark Tooth is a unique machete you can earn in Dead Island 2. It’s one of the best weapons in the game despite not being of legendary rarity!

This machete can slice limbs off with ease and can also be swung quickly. On top of that, it deals high Shock Damage and can electrocute anything that doesn’t get its head cut off in one slice.

In this guide, we’ll tell you what you need to do to get this weapon.

How to Get the Unique “Shark Tooth” Machete in Dead Island 2

You will find this weapon inside the Mystery Goodie Box which is on the top floor of the Lotusville Map. Sounds simple enough? Sadly, there’s a catch.

You can only open the box after you get the Mystery Goodie Box Code key item. You can only get this by completing Hana’s three missions.

If you’ve already done these missions, just head to the top floor of the mall to claim your reward. Otherwise, read on.

Reunite Hana and Her Friends to Get the Code

The first quest is “The Rav-Ages of Caustic X” which you can only complete once you’ve completed the “Michael Anders and the Holy Grail” quest as part of the main story.

You will also need to progress “Justifiable Zombicide” at least partially, as it will unlock the secured area that allows you to enter the main part of Bel-Air.

The quest will activate automatically after meeting these requirements and is pretty straightforward. Just track the quest and follow the markers and in-game instructions.

The second quest is “Boz Makes a Bang” which you will unlock naturally after the previous quest. You just need to activate it from a radio in the Lotusville Mall.

As before, just track the quest and follow the markers and instructions in-game. This quest takes place in the Avalance Studios.

You should now get the “Dez and the Mother of Satan” quest. It will be automatically activated when Hana calls you, though it might take a while for her to actually call.

We recommend walking around the Santa Monica Pier. That usually makes you receive Hana’s call, plus it’s where the quest will take place anyway.

Meet Hana’s friend, Dez, and help her out. This mostly just involved slaughtering zombies which is a pretty straightforward task!

Complete the quest to get the Mystery Goodie Box Code instantly. You will also get the “Go, Bobcats!” achievement.

With the code in your possession, just go back to the top floor of the Lotusville Mall. Open the goodie box and grab the Shark Tooth!
